ecu reflash question

is there any other way to reflash my ecu to factory spec without going to tuning shop?
i have 03 evo8 bought it used back in december last year
and im thinking that the previous owner had it tuned with some extra stuff done to it
and put it back to stock and sold it
so that im thinking my car's out of tune and seems really slow
please help me out guys

why not just take it somewhere and get it tuned? or, if worse comes to worse, do the email tune thing for a stock car...

Do know any fellow members or locals with a stock map still in their 2003? Maybe you could pull it and save it then flash yours with it. I'm no guru but I'm sure they'll chime in to show you the way.

The stock roms are on the internet. Just find someone local who has the cable and laptop and you are good to go. Otherwise you can do it yourself with a computer (doesn't ahve to be a laptop once you can get the car within the cable's length), the ECUFlash software and the tactrix (or similiar) cable.

software is free, openecu.org
you need a tactrix cable for flashing/logging

read the stickies - its not hard.
