Howdo you save this on vista? I keep getting "wrong file location/path" something of that nature. I'm not very computer literate so I would appreciate some detailed info on how to make this work. I've tried saving it to a differnet location but I can't seem to get it to work. Thanks for the awesome work.

 

Once you edit it, you need to save it to the desktop. Then cut and paste it into the folder you want it in. It will tell you that file name already exists and if you want to replace it, just say yes. Vista sucks for that stuff. I'm pretty sure one of the service packs fixes that annoyance.

 

how do I save it to the desktop? No options when I click save.

 

Just installed the latest serv pack and updates

 

I was able to save the patch to ecuflash- it's there when I go to desktop, programs, openecu, mitsu, evo, etc. The patch loaded version is saved to the program it seems because it opens it up with the patch installed on notepad. When I open ecufalsh I am unable to pull up the patch options by opening the roms. I can only pull up the stock roms- not mods.

 

Vista has what is called UAC or (user access control) this is new security this will turn off the the nag that says Vista needs your permission to continue all the time (not necessarily related but a good thing IMO). do a google seearch to turn of the UAC if you want to get rifd of that annoyance. If you Uninstall Evoscan and reinstall and pick a directory NOT under program files. c:\evoscan25 for example instead of the default c:\program files\evoscan. This will help immensely. The other thing to check is the path to your metadata files from within Evoscan sometimes it reads or looks for the xml files in the wrong place.
