Just as an update on the part throttle knock issues.
Is a bad xml file capable of corrupting a ROM?
At one point, I read out the ROM image from the patched rom in the car and when I opened up the Tephra mods tab a few days later, there were some incorrect values in the tables. I know I had properly disabled a couple of the features in the main table where you select which mods are active. When I opened it up, there were strange values in the table in a couple of places. I thought I was using the original ECUflash 1.39 xml file with the mods patched in at the end, but I could be wrong.
After that, I found a good xml file, reinstalled ECUFlash and flashed in a new Tephra patched rom. I rarely get the part throttle knock light any more. I've since been able to tune the car because I'm not getting constant knock at tip in now. The EGR and low end of the timing table is stock now and I have gotten my average mpg back into the 22-23mpg range.
Thanks Tephra, awesome mods and without the knock problems, the car is fun to drive again. Sorry if an error I may have made took us off track. Donation on the way.

Brilliant. Thanks Tephra. I would've had to pay significant $ to get these features in a Motec or something, and would've been forced to give up the decent knock control in the factory ECU (which I didn't want to do).
Great stuff. Decent ( hopefully ) donation sent..

I apologize for the "thread jack" and I'm sure in the days/months ahead that PLENTY of test comparisons are going to be shared. From what I've read and keeping in mind the two hottest "stock-like" turbos on the scene today, the BBK Lite (2) and the BBK Full (3) fall in between the FP Green (1) and FP Red (4) respectively.

Hi Tephra,
I’m across the ditch in NZ and was wondering if you might be able to help.
I have ROM (89280002) off my NZ New EDM IX GT and have inherited the AUSDM88580013 xml in ecu flash.
I was wondering if you might have a ROM (and xml) with a mild tune to suit: 98 Octane, Ralliart filter, turbo back exhaust (no cat) and Walbro 255l/h fuel pump? OR a ralliart or RS ROM?
Cheers,
John

Lite and Full are like the Green.
Red is a whole different beast.
If you want 30psi power, go the red - but at the price of later spool.
If you want green performance go the BBK, lite for early/quick spool, full for a bit more grunt and slightly later spool (200rpm)

email me your stock ROM and I will take a look, *myforumname* <at> gmail.com
