I can't find what this is in reference to (so I'm not sure if it is related to my problem).

Does anybody else have strange problems with ECUFlash 1.41 and adding the altmap definitions? This is what I'm seeing:

Some of the defs look OK but all of these are clearly wrong. You are looking at a freshly downloaded 5.10 from this thread, but my other roms look similar. All I did was creat the _mods xml and add the mod stuff to it. These are my XML files:
http://thefrost.net/randomfiles/tuni...l_1.41_bad.zip

EDIT: I also copied my Mods XML over to my 1.35 unmodified directory, <included>'ed it and everything looked OK.

I changed the 1.41 install to point to the 1.35 rommetadata directory and everything is looking OK for now. I'm guessing this is a problem with the base definitions included with 1.41 then?

The address for the table is wrong. This shouldn't be affected by the evo9base or the 88590015 xmls included in ECUFlash 1.41. Make sure that you are not using old "tephra mods" definitions.

Ok, I just figured out something stupid. Sorry for the fire drill!

Apparently if you make a subdirectory to the rommetadata directory it will still be read and included (not sure why this wasn't obvious to me before). I must have had old definitions in a backup subdirectory to evo. When I removed it everything looked A-ok. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I'll be reading all 57 pages of this, but my head hurts after just 7 of this and all 14 of the 96530006 switching one for us '05 guys.

My question is about some of the v5.1 updates. I have no ICS so I can set all of them to 0, no problem. Should I change what the knock sum required for slow/fast numbers are? I would assume this would be a primitive way to keep things in check if you're using E85 or meth, assuming it's accurate. Also, what do I set "Enable Alt. Maps Master? " to?

And does valet mode work? If so, if you have it activated in the ROM, how do you activate it if you're actually going to valet?

Tephra I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I don't have much but I'll send what I can and send more when I'm able to. Your efforts are priceless.

altmaps - you dont have ICS so you will need to wire up a switch - check out the 2nd post by Jack_of_trades - he can make OR you can make your own map switching harness!

valet - with ign on, hold down TPS to 100% for 10 seconds - fast CEL = ValetON, slow CEL = valet disabled... play with it in your driveway...

thanks for anything dude

We owe it to you! Best of luck getting your car back together.

I ordered the switch a little bit ago from jack of all trades. I need to research something about adding a pin I believe. Should I change the settings for knock sum slow/fast? And once I get the switch wired up, what do I set the "Enable Alts. Maps Master" to? There is a 1 and a 2 option.

I'll try the valet thing tomorrow. I don't usually mind walking, but there are a few local places that have such minimal self parking you don't always have a choice there. The rest of the stuff on the new ROM I can assume just leave alone? I was talking to mrfred and he said a lot of it there is no need to change. Thanks again!
