Should I change the knock sum fast to something like 2 or 3?

And I'm still curious what I set "Enable Alts. Maps Master" to after I get the switch installed.

 

Hmm...I can't even get my car to start with the 96530006. I tried moving over just the timing and fuel maps, did what I thought had to be done with the immobilizer and turned off all tephra mods. No luck. Any ideas on where to start?

 

set cel slow to 3 and fast 5. you can and will get random transition knock 1-2 counts. nothing major. the ecu doesn't pull timing till 3 knock counts.

 

So there is no multiplier of any kind for knock in those fields? I only ask because the high one was in the mid two thousands. I would imagine if you have that much knock your engine is in eleventy billion pieces..

Please tell me if I can switch between the ROMS (88840013 to 88840016 or 88840017) if I change only the immobilization code.

2007 ROMS are suitable for my EVO9 2006??? (88580014)

I don't see your ROM attached, but it would be of great benefit if you took a log of your car, so we can see what is going on.

In an email with tephra he said to try setting the knock threshold for fast CEL to 150, so there must be something going on.

 

are you talking about Load required for CEL on knock? then set that to 150 or so. this means the CEL will only flash when you are in open loop and will not flash when the ecu transitions from closed to open.
Setting Knocksum for fast CEL to 150 would mean the CEL would never flash the max knock the ecu will record is 36 counts.

Sorry for missing the auto refresh valet option. i disabled that before i tried starting my car the first time.

Yeah sorry load is what it was. 3/6 is what I'd set the knocksum counts at.

I'm a little flustered with all this to be honest. I might try again later this week, but for now I have my old ROM in. I changed the valet to 1 and car wouldn't start. Put it back and still nothing. I've had auto valet at 0 this whole time. Just doesn't make sense.

 

sometimes the valet thing can lock you out... can you try this:

flash autovalet = 0, valet = 1
see if car starts?
if not then ign on - hold TPS down until the slow CEL flash
see if car starts?
