As for the MUT table not appearing: it's probably just missing from your version of the EcuFlash XML. Unless you have a compelling reason to avoid it, I'd suggest upgrading to the most recent version of EcuFlash, which has a dramatically improved set of standard definitions for 96530006.
If i remember correctly, 1byte load was not working either. The only think i could get to work was Calculated Load, which is not usefull at all.

I am still using EcuFlash 1.29, because the new EcuFlash requires that my laptop have Service Pack 3.....which it does not. Anybody here using EcuFlash 1.41 with XP and SP2 only?

I'm using it with Win2k, does that count? Why the hesitation to install SP3, out of curiosity?

Regarding 1-byte load, did you add it to EvoScan's configuration (Data.xml)? (Or use EvoScan 2.5, which I believe already has 1-byte load defined?)

Yes, i added it do Data.xml, but i added it through EvoScan and not directly into Data.xml using notepad.

Ok, so i installed SP3, then installed ECUFlash 1.41 and re-modded my roms. Here is what i have found/issues.

I can't seem to properly log 1 byte load. I added the patch to Evoscan in the Data.xml, but to no avail. The car runs perfectly on the 96530006 rom(i switched over from 96940011). Idle was a little messed up with the same settings, but it smoothed out a bit as i ran the car longer.

What is Load11bit4 in Evoscan?? Anybody know? I really wish i could log 1byte load correctly. Right now, i'm a little nervous running this new rom without being able to log load.

load11bit4 is NOT what you log.

what do you "get" when you log 1byte load?

what is your MUT40 pointing to?

OK, i got 1byte load working now. The 2byte to 1byte conversion was all dicked up. So, i'm now very happy with the 96530006 rom and Tehpra's v5.10.

Here is my only problem now. My idle settings are all wonky with the new rom. I'm using the exact same settings as my 96940011 rom and can't seem to get the car to not stall with the AC on after liftoff in Nuetral. It idles great with the AC off, but not so good with AC on. I am using the exact same settings ,any ideas? I also thru a DTC p0505 for Idle Control. When i go back to the orignal rom, there are no problems.

same issues here. But never found a fix. I just replaced my iscv and idle is much much better now. with stock stepper values. When I first switched to the 0006 rom, I had to mess with the throttle body screw and idle stepper tables to get it not to stall. it was bad, with or without ac. I couldnt move it out of the driveway without it stalling.

my best guess is that the 96530006 rom relies on the iscv more than the 0011 rom. ???

That's kinda what i'm thinking. I have tons of experience tuning the ICS tables for a good idle, so it's back to the drawing board for me. The stepper table is where i think i need to start, although, on my initial testings, the stepper table didn't seem to respond well on the 0006 rom.

Did you move the 0011 values over to the 0006 ROM? If so, then go back to the stock 0006 values. I think I had the same issue when I converted and I did the BISS actuator adjustment and now I am fine. It was a periodic CEL and that idle adjustment fixed it.

Yeah, i ported all the 0011 idle values over to the 0006. The 0006 stock values are very different from the stock 0011. I thought about just trying the stock 0006 values, but i'm sure i will need to modify the stepper table and idle targets due to my cams and hard pipe.

adjusting the screw and the tables made it driveable. I also ended up using the map-maf patch. And still had stalling issues every once and while in very particular situations, but never got around to tuning the maf-map stuff. I tossed in a new iscv and now am idling at a rock steady 850-900 rpm and no stalling since the install last weekend (about 100 miles). Before the new iscv, I had to have the idle at 1000 to not stall and idle like crap.

Try going back to the stock 0006 values for the ISCV. Also with the hard pipe are tuning the MAF HZ? If you have the stock pipe re-install and get the idle working.
