TephraMOD V5.10
#991
Disabling Bit10 FAA the egr timing for me gives cruising a much more consistent feel. No ill effects, car feels much better.
ALSO, deleting the .xml for boost enhancement(antilag start/stop) like Tephra said overlaps the leanspool. Lean spool will become visible once you delete it. This may help with the knock.
EDIT: added the correct Periphery + bit

I had disabled the EGR timing (by setting the periphery to 1...pretty sure thats correct) and when I started the car...it was stubbling alll over the place. I didnt even bother driving it, it was that bad. Maybe I did the wrong periphery? I'm pretty sure I changed FA bit11 to 1 and thats when I had stumbling at idle after reflash.

FAA bit11 should be changed to "0" ...enter block depress "=" and type "0" ...Then number 1 enables.
You have to lower your timing in your cruise and idle areas if you have significantly increased or decreased from factory.

Im pretty sure that 1 disables (hence the added note regarding setting it to 1) In tephra's 94170015_v5.10_mod.bin FAA bit11 is set to 0 from the factory so i assumed 1 meant it would disable it. MrFred said not all things are disabled when they are 0, some need to be 1.
EDIT: Even in your spreadsheet it says "1= disable EGR igntion Advance" for FAA bit11.

My bad, it's actually bit 10. I haven't touched my bit11....left mine @ "0" Tephra actually was the one to find it and brought it to mine and others attention.

um with the whole boost enhancement crap - you should return those fields to stock b4 you delete them.
i think BE start overlaps LS start, but BE stop overrides another LS variable...
so yeah return them too stock, then delete the BE's from your xml...

I didn't change the addresses only thing I changed was the stop rpm from 7xxxrpm to 2500. How will that affect anything if you delete it anyways?
My Rom id doesn't include leanspool I actually added it in my evo7base awhile back.

ok well it depends on what addresses you have setup for BE stop/start.
but like I said - change it back to 7xxxx and then delete the BE stop/start def's from your xml.
then you can use either the proper LS start/stop addresses or use 0xFBA bit0 LS enable/disable periphey bit

So I believe the tip in knock is outta there! Deleted the BE stop/start... left it in the base but took it out the rom, along with LS seeing that it wasn't part of my original rom to begin. For the first time in about 1 year I stepped on it from 3krpm to 7k without knock! I am happy...the only knock is from too much timing in areas.
Congrats on the evo X.
