Wow that is a really great price for so much...or rather so little of a computer.

the only difference between scheides's and this one is the extra 2 inch screen, and like 11 bucks cheaper, haha so if you think you might want one, there ya go!

See my review of the EeePc.

I use a Dell Latitude D430 Dual core, works great, and very portable

How is the 9" screen for reviewing logs?
How about the size of the keyboard for making ROM changes?

I got the same one! Blue right? I like mine a lot, does an admirable job I think. How are you liking it so far?

The 9inch isn't too bad at all. My Acer Aspire One is 9in and I can read my logs perfectly fine, albeit its sitting on my lap and not in the passenger's seat. I think only the HP Mini note has a 9in buts run on a high resolution than the EEE and every other netbook, could be wrong though. As for the EEE's keyboard, its a little cramped, people with larger fingers usually have a harder time. Me, personally being yellow, you know our stereotypes, its a little small for me. But then again, it comes down to the user. A lot of people love their EEE pc. Fortunately for me, i found my Acer, for only $380 after taxes and all at Best Buy

Its great. So small and light. It has no solid state hard drive but they were able to put in a 120gb drive which is awesome for the price. There is no other laptop that comes close to the features this has for the price.

I have a dell d630 its on the dell small business section of the site. This laptop is one of the very few laptops that have a built in serial port so a converter is not needed to log a wideband. The battery last about 4 hours of medium usage but there is a 9 cell batt upgrade that extends batt life to about 9 hours. If thats not enough the cd drive ejects for another battery to make the batt life up to 12 hours. The laptop has a 15.4 inch screen and is pretty light. There are other features like strike zone so this laptop can also survive pretty hard bumps and minor drops without damaging the hard drive or motherboard.

agg... Dell just pushed my order for the Mini 9 out another two weeks. Since I needed the comp. for next weekend I called them up and canceled.

Looks like I'm going with an Eee PC now. there is one at a local best buy that I'm going to check out this weekend.
