how to install tephra mod
*no mop, mod my bad.*
Can you explain to me how to exactly do this? I'm not to computer literate and don't know how to put your mods for the 3d mapping and 2byte logging into evoscan... I have 2.4 evoscan if that helps at all!
TIA
Cory

EvoScan ( www.evoscan.org ) is a datalogger. You use this to log realtime ECU statistics.
EcuFlash ( www.openecu.org ) is a free ECU ROM editor. You use this to read, write, and edit ROM images.
Tephra's mod is a pre-patched ROM image meant for you to flash onto your ECU, after you manually bring over your car's custom settings from your current ROM into Tephra's patched ROM. If you have a stock ROM image, then this is very easy. If not, it could be complicated depending on how much has changed.
Each ECU is meant to accept a specific ROM version (referred to as ROM ID, such as 88590015).
To install Tephra's mod, you need to:
1) Find out what your ROM ID is from your existing ROM inside EcuFlash.
2) Download the appropriate version from Tephra's thread
3) Open both Tephra's patched ROM and your current ROM and compare them. You'll need to change the stock values in Tephra's patched ROM so they match your current values in your existing ROM. If you've only had basic changes to your car, you should compare:
* Fuel Tables
* Timing Table
* Injector Tables
* MAF Tables
* Immobilizer
* Rev Limits
* Boost Limit/Boost Delay Timer
* More, depending on how much is non-stock

If that search doesn't work, just put in tephra and video in search and it is in the Patch: V5 thread
