Ecuflash v1.39 thread
#5
there is an installation bug: it installed x64 tactrix drivers in my 32 bit xppro laptop, so nothing worked. I worked around it by deleteing all old (if not you'll end up with 5 driver instead of 3) tactrix drivers and using the specific location option to x86 dir during the found new hardware routine.

For those of you with the unsupported serial # Taxtrix cables don't bother installing 1.39. Once again it will peg the processor on a read or write as they STILL haven't fixed the issue. Which proves the point that I made the other day, don't upgrade your working system until you have a valid reason to do so. Stick with 1.38 and the cable hack or the tried and true 1.29.

Hopefully the hack will be released soon to resolve the issue with the unsupported serial #'s. Has anyone emailed the guys working on 1.39 about the x64 drivers being installed instead of the x86 32-bit drivers? I for one would like to upgrade over 1.38 since it says the following:
"skip writing 0xFF blocks for increased flashing speed "
I would like to see what the speed improvements would be like vs. 1.38.

Has anyone email'ed or know the email address to the developers writing the code for Ecuflash 1.39? I would like to email them to see if they know about 1.39 only installing the 64-bit drivers and not the x86 32-bit.
