I will be testing this more thouroughly (sp!!!) on my car this week/end.
Once I have verified that it does what its meant to then I will release a few ROMID's and let the general population give feedback...
96530006 will be one, what other ROMID for ppl with phantom knock? and dont ask for 96940011

Just to add to the weird harmonics theory. Right before I spun the #1 bearing i would get ticking in the 3500 RPM range +- 500 ish. There is something going on in that range for sure.
I'm right in the middle of a 2.3 build. Hope i get lucky and don't have a bunch of phantom knock.

When do I actually run out of space on this ECU? It looks like I have about 290 lines in use right now. I don't mind switching to another rom, I just don't want to loose my immobilizer. I can also delete some mods I'm not using to make space if I have to. I'd rather have this knock mod in place of some other mods.

Ok so I have some good news. I have a customer that had the intermittent 30 count knock on spool up (stock turbo). Couldn't solve it for nothing. Well he went ahead and changed two things. One being replaced his catback with the stock exhaust and put a QTP downpipe cutout. Second being he replaced his Timing belt and associated parts.
Now, No knock.
So its interesting to see, I personally think a faulty tensioner may be causing noise that fools the knock sensor, or it could have been a loose exhaust. Who knows.
Just my findings.
