Evoscan help, im verrry frustrated
alright so i have had trouble logging since Nam, and im so close to giving up but i refuse to get tuned by people on a dyno who i don't trust and cant look at the maps myself. Anyway. I had an old laptop that died and i never got Evoscan to log my lc-1 properly and i understand that it was an error on my part, not innovates. Now i have a macbook pro with windows on a partition and i went to install everything, got ecuflash on there but evoscan will not work because of error with the .net framework 1. something something i forgot the number buts annoying as ****. I attempted to download the framework and install it but nothing happened. Then i read about a program called orca that you can get into the msi and manually edit the code that searches for the .net framework. i know other people have experienced this but i just need a solution for the love of god. Anyone care to help. yes i have searched and this is the point i am at. thanks again

From evoscan.org:
Requires installation of Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 (its not installed by default on WindowsXP, but it is installed by default in Windows Vista) Otherwise you'll get this message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)." - to fix install MS .NET Framework v2.0

well obviously im not *****ing because i have gotten it to work previously. Im stating that im having trouble installing it UNLIKE YOU obviously. im sure if you payed 25$ and wanted to take a few logs but couldn't, you would be a little upset. Its not asking me to upgrade to the normal framework because if it were, i would have installed it and it would be working properly. jesus your ****ing retarded. thanks tephra for actually attempting to help me.

The error you had sounds like it's due to not having .net 1.1 installed. You can download that from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Evoscan says you need to have .net 2.0 installed, but their link to download 2.0 sends you to the download page for the 1.1 version of .net, which is confusing.
The 2.0 version can be downloaded from here:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
I would just try installing 2.0 and see if you get any errors after that. I had manually installed 1.1, 2.0, and 3.5 versions of .net (as I use the laptop for work) and Evoscan started up ok.

Ha, I went through the .net framework nightmare as well..Even after installing all correct versions it would not let me install evoscan..What I had to do was create another user account in windows and BAM it installed perfectly on that users account..If all else fails give that a try..
p.s. eeew, you have an apple computer
