Not to sound like a newbie but I've avoided using the BCS like the plague but with the advancements going on with using it, I may go this route.

What is the readable boost limit using the BCS such as the GM?

The 3port GM can create 35psi+ of boost if you so desire

Got the pigtail, thanks GST.

Now isn't there an A/C plug that can be purchased or cut off an old car (lancer?) to make the GM pigtail PNP into the OEM BCS connector?

Just a shot in the dark.......What about that Perrin unit? Right at the gruppe-s unit price and claims PnP and accuracy. Still second rate to the GM? Anybody have experience tuning with these?

You might want to consider the Apexi boost control solenoid. It is expensive but it will plug straight into the existing connection.

The A/C plug from our Evo can work when cut open. (it's the plug that plugs into the AC hard-line close to the passenger side fender in the engine bay)

The Perrin is an Ingersoll-Rand solenoid which is one of the few I didn't get to test (see link below), so I couldn't say for sure if its going to be better. If someone wants to send me one, I can test it.

I wonder if this is the same as the Perrin unit. Very inexpensive. I just bought some 4 ways of these for a test stand at work. Looks very similar, has the leads coming out of the coil. Can't beat $26 and easy to get.

Speaking on the pig-tails... I know I've seen posts that say it is the standard weatherpak connector that you can get for $.59c here:
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro...asp?RecID=5706
(other oem images here: http://www.whiteproducts.net/connectors.shtml )

But from the images of part numbers that I can see it is actually the 2-prong metripack 280 seen here:
http://www.whiteproducts.net/sealed280.shtml

Can anyone who has one confirm? The difference between the two connectors is one is a circular style with seperation and the other (metripack) is a multiple inner square push-down style with no separation.

Thanks guys!

And yes, the gmpartsdirect is around $48 shipped. It used to be $17 from rock auto . I've been meaning to call a GM Dealer and see if there is a newer part, but I haven't had the time.

Also, this page on the wiki might help the guys who have other suggestions. Feel free to contribute any info we find to the wiki:

Note, there is a link there also that shows the AC connector that can be cut for PNP

After looking at the images on rockauto of AC Delco part number PT 374 I'm thinking its not the metri-pack 280, but rather the 150 series (full pig tail part number 1510 via white products) http://www.whiteproducts.net/metripack-pigtails.shtml

is it more responsive without the 10ohm resistor and is it safe to run it with out the resistor?

See answers and hard data in MrFred's BCS testing data thread.
