The static was more of a hard "hit" when it was activated/deactivated. That is why I basically went away from it. If we use the full map you can blend it back into your normal map. I was having problems building too much boost on the handbrake and taking off hard, then it would buck in the middle of first gear when I went above 2mph. I ended up having to get rid of it due to the harshness.

EDIT:

Now that I think of it if we are blending the two maps together Load based would work better than TPS based due to the maps being rpm and load axis with clutch and speed triggers. Decisions decisions. For the auto guys load is great because an auto car going down the track is basically a loaded engine the whole pass. Put it up on the converter and when your over say 140 load then switchover to your antilag maps.

I need to get my auto car running

The point is that the engine would need to pass that load before doing anything. In all of the rally cars I have set up antilag for we use TPS for its immediate feedback. Who knows what the load is doing from the drivers seat, but TPS you instinctively know with your foot.

I think mapping is far better than a static value. Having just one value when a whole map can be set up is just being lazy. You could always just set the map to all the same value if that is easier. The point was that we already have the maps there, we only need to code altered to use different data to activate it. There is already map interpolation available too for a smooth transition.

Tephra,

I ran into a bit of a problem. No matter what I try I cannot get the WG to do anything but read 0% or 100% no matter what. If I try to get on the throttle the wastegate shoots to 100% around 40% TPS. Once this happens boost shoots up and never levels out (I have to lift because it is getting up to 30 psi).

I have multiple logs of this happening and I have tried putting the bone stock map in and only changing my injector scalings leaving everything else stock and making all the wastegate tables 0 so the car should effectively run wastegate pressure. I have also tried to apply mrfred's psi based boost control with no luck as well, same issues. Zeroing out the tables there too and it performs exactly the same. On my logs I lift off and cut the run short because if I keep going who knows where boost will end up and we all know what that will do to the engine. I will post logs and a screenshot of the settings I use so you can see how it is setup.

Also, I am running the GM 3 port BCS, but I ran it fine on my other ROM without any issues at all.

Here is the screenshot:

Log4

Let me know what I am doing wrong or maybe there is something wrong with the test ROM.

Anyone else having these issues?

I tried it at the stock setting, 200, obviously that didn't work, tried 100 and even 0. No change....

I just noticed somethin a lil bit weird. Did some logging today, and noticed that my WGDC isnt showing 100% till 2500. Normally I see it @ 2150-2200 as set in the map. Its now reading "0" till 2500...

Any thoughts?

stock 200%
I even set my boost maps to 100% duty cycle till I hit 200 load, since it was doing this anyways...

Dave,
were you referring to the "WGDC = 100% under this load", or is there somethin Im missing?

this was v.6 Where is the v.7 link? I missed it. I'll check the first page...
under 200 load, actually between 100-160 load.

Heres what Im working w/, and a 2ng gear pull. I did notice that before I extended spool up to 100% to match my logs w/ the "WGDC = 100% under this load", it was logging correctly.
Note: I just noticed it only did this in 1st and 2nd. 3rd hit @ 2250.

no there is a stock table - not in all roms

basically if your under like 120 load then you might not get any WGDC...

which is what your log shows.

so your ok

Hey Mate,

ok can you add this:

Code:
<table name="WGDCFix" category="TephraMod" address="3f27c" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>
to your "TephraMOD-96530706.xml" (just down the bottom b4 </rom>)

Then change it from 0x8900 to 0x8B00.

Then retest?

if it works I will upload V7Test2 for other people to test too

Cheers
D.
