AIK - old BDEL+WGDC tables dont do anything anymore... upto you if you comment/remove/relabel them

Mlocatel - boost drop is back to wastegate pressure (ie 0% wgdc) - becareful it happens VERY quickly and thus you will get weird AFR/Loads... please only experienced tuners test this feature...

travman - yes exactly to both of your Q's

recompile - hrmm I don't touch the boost error calc routine, make sure you have done the direct boost mod correctly?

I would personally drop the min load for boost control from 200 for pump gas maps. That is only ~17psi but the actuator probably isn't instantaneos. If I had anything above ~13psi on my truboost it would over shoot pump gas boost levels.

Also, out of personal preference I changed the MAF IAT WGDC Correction to *F
Code:
<scaling name="TempF" units="Fahrenheit" toexpr="((9/5)*(x-40))+32" frexpr="(5/9)*((x+40)-32)" format="%.0f" min="-40" max="284" inc="1" storagetype="uint16" endian="big"/>
Can anyone Verify that V6 work with MRFreds Narrowband O2 sim from Wideband? It looks like most of the variables are filled with the same thing as V5.10, but the routine sections are still FFFF.... so I think it should work. If I don't hear otherwise I'll give it a try tomorrow.

This definitely didn't make copying tables over easy ... I found the easiest way was to have one install of ECUFlash in a seperate directory of OpenECU (for instance ecuflashv5.10) with the 5.10 stuff and then this install in the standard directory. The sort order was all kinds of confused when I tried to do it all out of the same program window.

I'm pretty sure this is directly related to direct boost control. Are you using that mod and have you performed it correctly?

Also, these are the MUTs that differed from my old rom and what the current values are. I'm not sure about 19 and 40

00 - 6b42 - was 2 byte load Now gm/S
01 - 6b43 - was 2 byte load Now gm/S
02 - 8425 - was 2 byte RPM now Airflow 2Byte
03 - 6a35 - was 2 byte RPM now Airflow 2Byte
04 - 6b9e - 2 byte airflow
05 - 6b9f - 2 byte airflow
12 - 8409 - direct boost
19 - 6a6f - ???
40 - 8417 - Now Gear was JDM MAP non-averaged (original ROM= MIVEC?)
42 - 6a9d - gear/mph
43 - 6a9f - gear/mph
44 - 6aa1 - MAT
8a - 6EE3 -direct boost?
8b - 6EE9 -direct boost?
EDIT: here is the new MUT Changes I have for logging...

00 - 8450 - was 2 byte load Now gm/S
01 - 8451 - was 2 byte load Now gm/S
02 - 6b7e - was 2 byte RPM now Airflow 2Byte
03 - 6b7f - was 2 byte RPM now Airflow 2Byte
04 - 6d85 - 2 byte airflow
05 - 6da7 - 2 byte airflow
3c - 8409 - Was ??? now Analog Wideband AFR / real rear O2 - same as MUT12?
19 - 8417 - JDM MAP - Non Averaged
38 - 6AED - Log boost (averaged with tephramod)
40 - 8447 - Now Gear was JDM MAP non-averaged (original ROM= MIVEC?)
41 - 840b - load 1 byte
42 - 8448 - gear/mph
43 - 8449 - gear/mph
44 - 8443 - MAT
8a - 6EE3 - direct boost
8b - 6EE9 - direct boost

Tested today 88840017. Havent checked map switch, my wiring not connected now.

It does work. But unfortunately, my GM solenoid dont work. WGDC always 0%. On old rom it also doesn't work. Ill double check everything tomorrow and report.
Before I used just actuator pressure (0%). And I cant understand what happened now.
All correction zeroed.

If gm solenoid dead - there must be CEL, right?

If I could get any answers about post 93 or 94 that would be great...

88590615 -
NLTS works
Alt and normal startup IPW work
--it seems like I get a quick hiccup after startup on the altmap. I have to log to make sure it stays activated and is looking for the correct IPW. I'll see if I can get to this soon.
Gear detection works (modified my table though)
--did not try making a bost table for all but 1 gear 0% yet to confirm that the calculation actually carries to the table. If someone has a chance to do this that would be a good test.
Seems like the narrowband sim patch works
JDM MAP patch works
Direct boost seems to work against gear based tables
Alt maps switch for boost/timing/AF works

In the table where you set the gear for the rpm/mph can you just change the 6 to a 5 (IE make both of the top two left column numbers 5)so that you don't have to set the 6 values the same as 5 or is that and the boost header row only pointing to the same number that displays 6? Would it be easier/work to just set the rpm/mph to 0 for gear 6?

Also, can you explain the WGDC vs TPS table and how modifying the values works?

Thanks Tephra!

EDIT: Oh... and thank you for including my other MUT updates for where to put averaged and original values. It makes life a TON easier

I checked at startup this morning and I think I found the problem... I'm sourcing power for my altmap switch from the radio power harness (I think) so the ECU is not seeing the altmap on cranking. Anyone have a better source that is only on when the car is on, but doesn't turn off while cranking?

One other question: does the altmap take any time to activate on startup or does it automatcially go to the correct map during that condition? I should probably change my time to activate to 0 anyway since I'm 93 primary / E85alt now.

Fostytou it remembers which map it was on previously.

HOWEVER if the ADC0F is getting below the Voltage threshold at any point in time then it will cut back to normal maps... and then once the voltage goes above the threadshold it will wait for the timer to expire then goto altmaps... so yes the radio is a bad +12v source

Found problem with solenoid today. My car was on "limp mode", because of P0710 code.
And wg was always 0%.
Maybe someone know how to turn this code off? Now i just connected temp sensor back. But not best solution imo.

Thanks tephra, gear based wgduty work perfect. Really, its so cool, that i dont want to switch back to mbc. It beat ebc 100%.

Tephra, do you plan to put mrfred code in final v6? I talk about rear o2 heater patch ( https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...sim-patch.html )
It would be very cool to have this.

Thanks again for your work and time.

so the P0710 is not related to the V6?

I will look at the heater sim and let u know - I thought acamus found a "cheaper" way of doing it...

So you tuned the 3d boost tables for each gear? 1st+2nd should be MUCH stronger now... and 4/5/6 shouldn't overboost anymore either

Yeah, its soooo nice to have a slow roll on for 5 now and not get "stuck" under my curve at half throttle.

Where is the best place to source altmap power from? I prefer to not tap the ECU harness, but I'm not 100% opposed to it.....

Any answers about the other posts above tephra? I know the questions are kind of spread out. Let me know if you need an email from me.
