Does it just not start? Or something in between?
Immobilizer disabled?

As opposed to not starting? Yeah, no start.

@TTP - depending on the situation you can get a few chugs sometimes like its trying to turn over but can't hold it.

Did you disable the immobilizer and try?

-------------------------

I know this is late to the game for V7t6, but I'm not sure if it is really easily implemented. I had posted originally that I had problems with the 100% WGDC setting in 5th gear and had to lower it, and proposed disabling it for gear > 5. After spending alot more time with it I have reduced it to the point where i'm almost not using it. It cause some pretty dangerous fluctuations in power that shifted the chassis mid turn in 2nd and 3rd a few times, and I decided it wasn't worth it to have it on when not drag racing.

Then I thought about it this morning.... would it be difficult to do a min TPS for 100% wgdc setting (or any reason not to)? I think that would eliminate the problems in gear > 5 and also allow for smooth cornering, but give you the insta-spool when you stab it. This would also allow people running higher boost to set the threshold higher without running into partial throttle issues.

Confirmed launch maps works properly on 96530706 or w/e on my 2005. I set the timing to -20 and afr's to 10.5 as described earlier in this thread and when leaving a stop(gently) the car feels like complete poo.

Set it up like my pump gas map, but with the whole top-end(4500+) with -20's and 10.5's, much better setup now.

for EGR code FCA bit 15 set to 0, as NLTS try to lower your timing at 7-11trpm 160-180load,
one more thing 96530706 is so smooth in lower rpm !!

there is also problem with Manual ICS all US cars should change ecu pinout from 57 to 55

I finally upgraded to 1.42 tonight and now I can now see all of the tables defined correctly w/ Phenems v7 rom. Thank you! I dont have an VIII to try it out on, but I do have a question. I read somewhere that w/ the new v7 roms (or maybe just phenems), you do NOT need to copy/paste your old MUT table over. Is this true? Unless you wanna log 2 byte load. Yes I am aware of 1 byte load. But when logging HP and TQ 1byte doesnt allow HP and TQ to read. I tried changing the formula for est. g/rev, changing from 2 byte, to 1 byte and didnt work for me... TIA I dont use it often, just curious for when I do...

Looking forward to the new release!!!!

-You never *need* to copy your MUT Table. It is only for logging.
-To use HP/TQ with one byte load you just need to change the formula in evoscan to reference 1 byte load rather than something else. Better yet would be to use the spreadsheet based virtual dyno room posted in this forum.
-If changing the formula didn't work, you probably did it wrong...

Do we have a new timeline for when v7 might be finished? I know it is working now and many people are reporting great success but I wanted to wait until it had a final seal of approval. Of course the obvious answer is that it will be finished the day it is released but I was just curious.

Excuse the simplicity of the question, but I would like some confirmation from someone with more knolwedge than me.
I have been using the V7 ROM and wondered if the boost control mods that Mr Fred discovered are valid for use with the rom code?
If so, how does the WGDC correction value fit into the V7 ROM, is it possible to change this or not?
Thanks for the advice.

Richard
