I will look at the heater sim and let u know - I thought acamus found a "cheaper" way of doing it...

So you tuned the 3d boost tables for each gear? 1st+2nd should be MUCH stronger now... and 4/5/6 shouldn't overboost anymore either
P0710 not related to V6.

Yes, 3d boost tables tuned and work perfect
Will test boost drop today.

Ive just downloaded a V6 rom to have a look at the new mods I cant wait for my rom to be released Thje in gear boost control looks awesome one thing i noticed is that the rom still includes the BDEL and MWGD tables in the turbo section are these now redundant as surely they would conflict with the new 3d boost tables?

old tables can be removed - although changing them wont have any affect on V6 code...

I thought as much, I know you probably have a million requests for new roms to be patched but could you tell me if you will be doing the 96260009 rom for us JDM VIII owners like you did on the V5.10?

Verified that gear based boost changes with different gears on my rom
I'm just trying to think of something that won't drain my battery when the car isn't on (there is an LED on my switch). Is there a pin on the ECU harness that only has power at the "on" condition but doesn't cut out when cranking?

---Other questions:
Any confirmation that narrowband sim works with V6? It seems to be working swimmingly, but appearances can be deceptive (I didn't know if the code was purposely compatible).

What was the MUT19 change? Was the old MUT40 actually MIVEC (I'm not sure where I got that specific evoscan definition)?

In the table where you set the gear for the rpm/mph can you just change the 6 to a 5 (IE make both of the top two left column numbers 5)so that you don't have to set the 6 values the same as 5? .... or is that and the boost header row only pointing to the same number that displays 6? Would it be easier/work to just set the rpm/mph to 0 for gear 6? (it seemed like I was getting a tiny bit of confusion between 5 and 6 while logging).

Also, can you explain the WGDC vs TPS table and how modifying the values works?

Thanks Tephra

Started messing with this yesterday....one thing is my boost error and wgdc correction in evoscan are not correct anymore?

When im at 100% throttle my wgdc correction goes to 16 and boost error goes to 3.0585 in evoscan and dont move until i lift - its like they aren't functioning as they should?

this is on 88590615

umm look at Jack_of_trades post/home page for that info, there should definitley be a alwayson +12v...

should be exactly the same as v5.10

Don't know about MUT19, I don't think I changed it... Don't know about the previous for 40,41,42,43... I just looked through evoscan for what was being logged...

Can you post up your gear table for the 5spd? just leave the 6th map as is for the time being... I need to see what the other values are

Also, can you explain the WGDC vs TPS table and how modifying the values works?
The TPS/WGDC table is a % multiplation

so say your WGDC table is 75% and you have 50% in the TPS table then your final WGDC will be 50% of 75% ie 37%...

This example is the extreme obviously you TPS correction wouldn't be as low as 50%

Did you resetup the MUT's for direct/load based boost?

Dave -- I donated to the fund ...Now where do I find v6 ?? (Is it one of the two 'untested' at the start of the thread? If so, which do I select?

Also, why do you believe the high knock and boost cut could be problematic? Isn't that the best safety feature one could ask for? Thanks

Thanks Chris,

your coming from 88590013 yeah? So use 88590015...

boost cut causes a funny condition - where load drops off QUICK but boost is still high in the IM... so you get some funny fueling/timing issues... needs to be tested by some of the more knowledgeable ppl

Got the right location, Pin #99 on Evo IX ECU. I think I had previously thought it was permanently on, but maybe I was just being lame about tapping the ECU harness.

Hello tephra

after 1 week of testing the 88840017 I can feedback that everything seems ok .

I have only remarked a strange effect between the old 5.1 and the 6, namely less fuel consumption.
Might this have something to do with the WGDC 100% limit?

Otherwise it works fine.

One feature did I not test yet, because I don't know what it is: the manifold temperature.
Is it to use with the Speed density patch? If yes, what does happen if I select the option in the Menu?

Thanks

mlocatel
