P0125 Trouble Code
Hi Guys,
Finally I was able to run Evoscan and see what is the light that I have on.
P0125 Excessive Time to Enter Closed Loop Fuel Control.....after Evoscan definitions.
P0125 is INSUFFICIENT COOLANT TEMPERATURE FOR CLOSED LOOP FUEL CONTROL in OBD trouble code.
Can be a bad understanding from ECU of the IAT scale?
Basic information about this cell is that the ECU read this fault when:
-IAT is less than -19.45°C (-3°F) at engine start and 20 minutes or more after starting engine, this heat sensor value is 20°C (68°F) or less.
-IAT values are between -19.45°C (-3°F) and -8.34 °C (17°F) at engine start, 5 minutes or more after starting engine and heat sensor value is 20°C (68°F) or less
-IAT greater than -8.34°C (17°F) at engine start and 2 minutes or more after starting engine, heat sensor value is 20°C (68°F) or less.
Basically I need to check in the first phase cooling system, heat sensor,and the thermostat.
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is used to monitor the temperature of the engine coolant.The resistance of this sensor varies with the actual coolant temperature.
If, after sufficient time has passed, and the sensor still reports that the
engine is not warm enough for closed-loop fuel control, the ECM interprets this as a fault in the sensor or cooling system and sets this trouble code P0125.
Since I did`nt change nothing into my MAP 88840017 for MAF or IAT or I don`t have a modified cooling system and other defects, I realy don`t know how to fix this issue.
I don`t have CAT on my car if this counts......
Evoscan readings are strange.......

Is the car warming up normally? Temp gauge? Does the heater start blowing warm/hot air in a normal amount of time after startup? If it does then it's possibly a bad sensor. You can check it with a voltmeter. The resistance changes as it gets hotter corresponding to temp.
If it's okay at the sensor, try the same wires, same test at the ECU
If it's slow to heat it's probably a stuck open Tstat

In periphery I have like this:
FCA bit.9 = 0
FEA bit.7 = 0
FAA bit.11=0
With this setup EGR valve is disabled 100% or this will cancel only ECU egr test readings?
About the O2 I have FAA bit 01=1

I made another log with my first map
I will upload this file with all the o2 sensor enabled plus the coolant temperature and scalling.
I don`t know from where to get a def file with min temp for closed loop either......
I will search more......

After a while it appear again.....
Car is warming normally and last time the cell appear again after I stoped the car for 20 minutes in a warm outside temperature....
I still believe that is something to do with the periphery....but I will check more......

or p0421 if the rear o2 is enabled.
btw i don't have a cat too.
i've flashed tephra's 5.5 firmware with rear o2 sim patch today to see if it helps.

I just reflashed the ECU the other day and I removed the periphery bit fix... now I got the CEL again... have to read the code to see which one....
one thing.. I removed the rear O2, but I am using it's power supply to power the LC-1 wideband.. ..
I used to run the car with two o2's but only one 100cpi cat and got CEL's all the time..

hmm, my LC-1 works fine.. I log it trough the rs232... so no need to connect the analogue to the ECU untill I decide to delete the front o2...
why would I need the rear o2?
