Are these options correct for the fastest logging? I'm using a 1.3 cable, have 1 byte load selected, 2 byte rpm, and the other normal stuff. During a pull I'm getting 400 rpm gaps. Is this normal? The gaps don't start happening until 5k or so. I couldn't get the map tracer to work either. I was able to load my hex to the bottom portion, but what ever option I selected from the left wouldn't show up in the upper area.

looks correct.

dont use 2byte rpm, its really a waste of time... the regular (MUT21) RPM is fine..

how many items are you logging?

10 max- usually 8
Should I put my MUT table for RPM back to normal instead of 2 byte? That may be a dumb question, but I have no idea about that kinda stuff

Ok your getting about 4 lines/rows per second.

I used to get 20...

What sort of hardware/laptop are you using? What is your CPU utilisation when logging?

HP Pavillion Vista, 2G RAM, 160 GB Hard drive. I have never checked the CPU utilisation when logging. I have tried different power settings when logging and it didn't matter. How do I check utilisation and how do I reduce it?

Yeah that should be fast enough.

Even when I had mine cranked RIGHT DOWN (power settings) I was still ok for logging.

I am XP thou.

Task Manager is CTRL-SHIFT-ESCAPE (together)

I have the little gadget gauges on my desktop. The RAM one is always at 46% and the ROM one is usually around 6%. I may have my terminology mixed up.
Edit: I just checked the CPU usage with just evoscan on and it was 4% or lower.. Not sure with it running though.

well CPU will go up and down pretty quickly all the time.

like open word and it will jump to 100% for a little bit.

yeah I would be suprised if it was CPU related...

Hrmm maybe vista something?!?!
