Evo X Logging
#286
Sic or criptballer, send me a PM with your email and I can email the stock 52680018 ROM to you. It's too large to attach here. I'm heading out though and won't be able to send it until tomorrow morning.

Is it going to be safe to run this ROM ID though? I just have to add the three tables and then change the values right?
Now that i think about it, I have my buddy's 0018 file because i downloaded his stock map. can i just use his and then make the changes?

it looks like i do need a virgin one, everytime i try to open the xml file to change it it doesn't have anything in it but a couple of things. i even trie 0020 because that's my brothers ROM ID but still nothing in ECUflash directory.... they both say they inherit from 0015, is that why?

SiC, any idea where i might be able to look to find the differences? I just want to make sure this doesnt end up being an inferior rom. I think the Evo VIII's had something like that where some USA models had 2 rom id's, but tephras patches and such were all made for only 1 version and people had to switch over to take advantage.

The 0020 is slightly leaner at the top end than the 0018 or 0017. There might be other changes internal to the rom that have not been shown in ECUflash. IMO, it is good reflash if you want to keep the car stock, but it is worthless if you want to tune your car.

SiC, I tried logging IAT and I get between 180-200 F for the manifold temp. Does this sound right? It doesn't change much whether I am at idle, cruising, or WOT. It only varies by 10 degrees at most.
criptballer, I got your PM but I'm assuming you don't need the ROM anymore since you already have a 0018 rom. It sounds like you might have deleted the rommetadata in the EcuFlash directory for the 0015 rom - you definitely still need this file as the other roms inherit off of it. Worst case, try reinstalling ecuflash.

The 0020 is the factory reflash for the stutter that some evos experienced while going WOT at the top end. The dealer will flash you car and attach a sticker under the front passanger side of the hood informing you that the 0020 reflash has been performed on your car.

Depending on your ambient temp, it should be in the range of 65-122 F and sometimes higher when sitting in bad traffic on a hot day.
