How are these applied?

Do I simply edit the 56890010.xml?

Does anyone have the lines I need to add in so I can flash a 2012 and turn on Mode23? 58010005 I'm using evoscan 2.9.

goldenevo.com definition for 58010005 has mode23 items defined. That'll take care of the flashing side.

I don't have the logging items for ya, though...

Ya, thanks. I didn't even realise that Golden had all of that defined already. I decided to read through the code and noticed. Kind of a "duhh" moment on my part.

Now to figure out what I have to do to evoscan 2.9 as the dropdown menu only shows Mode23 for 2011 and prior.

golden posted the logging addresses of 58010005 in post #1066 in this thread.

i took those and placed those in xml format for easy pasting in post 1071, but you can just download the zip i posted in post 1079 and paste the 2012 gsr xml into your \Documents\EvoScan v2.9\DataSettings\ folder and open evoscan and 2012 will be available.

And this is one of the biggest reason's why I loved owning an Evo.... the people on this forum and in the Evo scene in general are ****ing awesome, starting from tephra , Golden, etc. and trickling all the way down. Thanks a bunch, momostallion.

no problem! i've owned my evo for just over a month now and i completely agree. i've essentially spent 75% of my free time reading these forums about anything and everything paying special attention to their posts.

anyone know if the cruise control Up/Down can be logged? I use to do it on my subaru (usually a bitfield with a load of different switches) and was wondering if it can be done on my X.

also if the rear defogger can be logged as well...

Yes, you can log both the "cruise light" and the "cruise switch". One is a momentary toggle and the other is an on/off toggle. i.e. One represents the actual switch being depressed and the other is the state of the cruise control.

I have not seen the defrost stuff. My guess would be that the ECU doesn't know about it. But if it does, it can be logged. I don't have that address.

I'll need your rom id to get you the cruise addresses.

How to setup your EvoScan with addresses that I post:

Take these EvoScan definitions for the newer 2011's. Change the "RequestID" in each line. And change the "ecu name" from "Mode23 2011 2 USA RA EVOX" to something more appropriate for your rom. The Mode23 and EVOX have to be in there. I think they are key words for EvoScan.

noobs question,

how to log with the evoscan and rom id 56920006
i can use ecuflash with the definition, but can not log
do i miss something?

you take the request ID's/.xmls that Golden Edit: and Razor, so kindly provided, and when you open up the EvoScan prorgram, you will need to make sure the request ID's match up. If not, change the request ID in EvoScan, by (R) clicking on the item in question, then click edit data items, go down to request ID, and put in the proper ID for your rom. (click ok)
