I swapped injectors and life is grand.

Good Luck
Good point but, they are FICs and are brand new. Plus they provide flow charts for the injectors and all look ok. Good thought though.

Nevermind. It looks as though 96530006 has the same address as 94170015

7* of timing at idle is not enough. Use at least 12* or even 14*. That works much better.

Add this to your 94170015 xml. It will allow you to increase the sensitivity for idle. Helps to keep the car from hunting at idle. Stock value is 128....raise it to about 146.

Second question....I didn't mean raise the Hz values, I meant raise the scaling values. Sorry about that.

Third question.....Yes you should start to see some LTFT adjustments.
you wouldnt happen to know the xml for the 96940011 ROM would you?

I would try it and see if the map looks right. I did for my 96420008 and everything looks right in the tables. I havent been able to test it cause my car is at Buschur right now.

Just a quick update:

I finally got the car idling well and the trims were reading. What I did was -
  1. Backed out the MAF screw all the way until it was flush inside
  2. Raised the idle sensitivity as suggested earlier
  3. Raised the idle timing to 10
  4. Adjusted the MAF scaling at idle as well as cruise and scaled the remainer of the graph
  5. Raised the idle to 1075ish
  6. Set the cam gears at +1 exhaust, +3 intake
  7. Used mrfred's MAT patch instead of Teprha's MAT patch in v7 ROM

This cured all my issues I was having with the car.

Thanks for the input and suggestions guys

I tried it - no go. The address for the idle stability table is not universal.

Glad we could get you on the right track. How does the car idle with the AC on?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is MAT? I recall it being refferd to in the SD thread as manifold air temp, but I don't see what significance it would have here as an 8 with a MAF should not use this parameter for any calcs.

The car is SD ready with the Evo X MAP sensor and a GM IAT sensor installed in the intake manifold, hence why I needed to use the MAT patch.

Yeah its nice to have more than one mind thinking about a solution The car idles great with AC after a few adjustments I made, although the owner just t-boned a telephone pole so its out of commission now for a while
