guys please post your mods/boost/octane with your charts, otherwise the data doesn't tell us anything useful.

sorry, I forgot I'm not on the local forum where everyone knows my setup. I edited my post.

It'll probably come in handy when I start launching this thing though.
Jack ive owned a couple 500+whp Mirages in my day... Once u turn that thing up its going to be nearly impossible for it to give you an accurate VDR from all the wheel spin!! VERY fun cars though!! I wish I hadnt sold my last one. Original 89 turbo Mirage with the engine and setup that my Talon has in it.. 600WHP or so. It was useless for racing as it spun badly through 4th gear but it was immaculate!! Fresh paint... completely redone... man i miss it.

bumped the boost up to 44psi on the stock ecu/mas hta86 and the torque came alive but the hp not so much. This is with 1.12 correction factor to match the dyno I hit in Kansas where I did 703/539 previously. Seems I'm hitting a choke point...maybe mas, maybe intake (stock ported)

Try giving that some more smoothing.. Id like to see it smoothed out some... that thing is like a roller coaster hehe. i try and smooth mine till it looks smooth without humps. I did some pulls today as well. It was a little cooler out today but I JUST filled up my tank and was on the way home so i did some pulls. I didnt add any extra weight for the gas as i have no idea how much to add lol. I will post it up for u in a sec.

Mellon I garuntee ur MAF is starting to become a big restriction on 44psi on the HTA86. My maf was a restriction on just my 35R at high boost levels especially the higher RPM it went it would fall off like im seeing yours do on that graph.... and we seen this on the dyno jet up at AMS.. I went to AEM because of that and the driveability factor... But mainly for the power of the speed density setup so i could eliminate that tiny hole the maf breaths through and throw a 4inch intake on

I prefer to have the smoothing lower so I'm not masking flaws in the tune. I looked at my log and sure enough it's a little leaner in that spot, clearly the car likes more fuel so I'll be addressing that.

I understand where ur coming from but it looks excessive to me the way its up and down so drastically but then again im not there looking at ur tune and log etc. Im not saying take it to 20 or anything just a little more then 4 If i put mine at 4 it would be a total roller coaster lol and i am 100% sure my power curve doesnt look like a roller coaster as i have had my car on a dyno jet MANY times.

Here is my VDR i got this evening. I just filled up my tank and didn't add for the extra weight as i have no idea how much extra weight to put in for the added fuel lol. This is using the 1.1 correction factor that is right on with the dyno jet that i use up at AMS for my car. I have checked this by running it right after the dyno pulls within a few hours....IMO this is very important or your VDR will be inaccurate from your dyno if using a custom correction factor! For instance if i used the 1.12 that Mellons has to use to match his dyno jet #s my car reads too high from what it did on the Dyno Jet I use. For reference my 1.12 correction factor put my HP up to 773hp and 565tq.

37.8psi PEAK running E85. A/Fs of mid to lower 12s. Car is liking the cooler night air

very nice, massive improvement over mine at high rpm even with lower boost, shows that I'm shoving boost down it's throat and not getting the return on it except for torque down low.

I seen the exact same thing with my regular 3582R when it was cranked on the stock maf to 40psi... It would drop HP and fast!! And if turned high enough it would lose hp across the board....

I bet you would have went faster on 38psi at the track the other night fo sho! IMO Ur car has 9s in it with ease at the 38psi u dynoed it on without a doubt!!

I say with going SD and a good intake ur car will wake up like no other!! Hell my car has a stock valved stock port head.... And with my tune and the combo of parts it holds HP to 9K like its its job

I started a thread earlier today about the stock mas limit, got some discussion about SD and MAF-T going on there, might find it interesting

Seeing as Colt4g63 found that 1.10 is perfect for the DJ he uses, and Mellon found that 1.12 is perfect for the DJ he used, its fair to say that a nice average would be a Dynojet Correction Factor of 1.11 at this point until we get more data.

I just realized that the street pull I did with the Mirage was with air flowing thru the stock 1.5" exhaust. The car has a 3" cutout y-pipe where the CAT should go. Maybe tonight I'll do a pull with the cutout :-)
