I have now used four different cables:
GigaWire from radioshack
Dynex from Bestbuy
Seriolo from Ebay
Belkin from Computer Store
None of them work they all do the same thing log for a few frames and then get stuck on the on reading. It has to be something with Evoscan, because it is working fine it hyperterminal. This really starting to get annoying. I guess I will go ahead and spend another $40 and get a Keyspan. A couple more bucks and I could have bought another Accessport.

k so i got mine to work, sorry for the delay, my computer has been f--ed!
anyways, used a old old version of evoscan, its like 0.94. Worked great for logging wideband. My car is all tuned, love it! For cable I am using the Best Buy Dynex, serial2USB cable.

I had a shop move my wideband and I started getting this error. It has to do with the serial cable. I'm having them look into the problem today. I'll let you all know exactly what the problem was/is

I had the same problem... I had a MircoDevices USB to Serial cable with the exact same issue. After buying the Tactrix USB to Serial cable, works no problem. I recommend buying the cable directly from Tactrix... about $27 with shipping.
