Openport 2.0 Cable for RVR in NZ
Hey all, I have a 1998 Mitsi RVR X3. Currently have an Openport 1.3U cable which was purchased along with EvoScan from Hamish at Limitless. I can log and read my a ROM image from my ECU, but cannot flash at this point. ECUFlash 1.42 tells me I need an Openport 2.0 cable to provide sufficient amperage to my H8 ecu to flash it.
Chip in it is a 7202F, which I have read can be flashed, unlike the 7203F at present.
What I would like to know is if there is someone on these forums who is in New Zealand (ideally North Island, best in Auckland, but I can drive wherever) who would be willing to let me come out and borrow their Openport 2.0 cable to see if it works, or if I need to just replace the whole ECU to tune it.
I have an XML file which someone created for my ECU based on the ROM I read, so I would really like to tune this with that, if possible.
Rather not drop $100 - 170 USD on a cable which may NOT work...
