Yeah, I think I have had that 'unknown' table listed as ColdStart ignition for a while now. But, the 'low temp timing trim' is linked to a different map, not that one. I don't have my tuning computer open, so I can't give any specifics, but I'm pretty sure my definitions are right...anytime mrfred posts something, I usually copy it down right away and/or find it for the 9653 ROM.

As you mentioned though, I think some of the IPW tables may be the cause as well, since when I switch to E85 I also switched to FIC Bluemax 1250s. So, I was changing many of the starting and post starting IPW tables. I could be remembering wrong, but I thought it was the low temp triming trim map, changing from 100 to 50 which caused my problem, but maybe it was the IPW maps as well...I just don't remember and haven't attempted to fix it yet.

Guess I need to research some more on what table affects what and so on.

I thought the percent table affected the hole of -5 because when I set it the percent table to all = 0. I did not pull timing and idled way hight.

As for thre IPW tables....I believe there has to be more to them. The main one we use now seems like it is more of a lookup. But I think specific tables require specific IPW settings to operate properly...just like the start IPW. Maybe there is an IPW setting for cold start and warmup?

I have the same issue with my IX on e85, now that it is cold out. I fixed the timing drop with the egr table but the afr still jumps to 20-22 if there is any load below 1500 rpm. It clears up after about a 2 minute warm up.

AWESOME ! !

In ultra cold weather like we have here in Cincy right now....in the teens....you will see a tad bit of an RPM rise when cold. But that is to be expected.

I am like a proud papa that has taken care of his children. Cold issues plagued tons of people. Now we have resolution.

i logged my iscv steps at initial startup and reviewed the initial steps leading to regular idle.

My settings for "Desired ISCV initial step position neutral with AC off" on Tephra's V7

E Temp °F----Steps
-26---------------64
18----------------64
45----------------64
68----------------60
93----------------60
122--------------60
171--------------13
180--------------10

No other changes made. I went from 2k spike to what you see in the vid.
Pretty happy

Those settings work well in FL.....here in Cincy when it's 12 degrees those might not work so well. I like where you are going with it though. Every car is different.

Great job.

Nice, I was going to look into the ISCV tables as well.

There are about 4 of them that control the ISCV demand based on coolant temp as well.

You could probably get it to work well in an area that cold with the steps starting @ 95.
Example:
"E Temp °F----Steps"
-26---------------98
18----------------98
45----------------95
68----------------93
93----------------92
122--------------60
171--------------13
180--------------10

Probably even lower...would be a good starting point.

Guess I need to log ISCV steps like you did and see where it goes.

What about the other ISCV tables.....The AC on table had to be raised in the lowest 2 blocks for me and my revolver cams to idle. AC stall sucked.

Here is a screen shot of all my ISCV. I have GSC 280cams and have no stall issues. It may be a timing issue around the idle area.

Also, in my vid the idle is what I had requested(1398 RPM)...i've now lowered it as you can see in the screen shot to 1203, so i'll report again for that in the morning.
