I believe so, and if what I talked about in my first post is a bug...then definitely.

I've tried both several times and I keep going back to 9653. Hard to describe exactly, but 9417 feels and sounds softer and mushier and 9653 feels and sounds sharper and crisper.

Yeh, I know that doesn't help much. I suggest trying both and using whichever reacts the best on your EVO.

hi I'm running the 96533706 rom and i've noticed something a little strange, to do with the knock cel flash, even when the knock sensor is unplugged my cel seems to flash when I get around the 4k rom mark when accelerating quickishly, any ideas what could cause this even with out a sensor?

Thanks
Andy

Unplugging the sensor typically locks the knocksums at about 8 counts no matter what. Don't unplug it.

Hey Appauldd, I am trying to setup my "Start IPW latency mcsec" in 94170715 and when I try to enter 1200 (14v lat value is 1.200) it makes it 1020 which seems to be the highest value you can enter.

Having a hard time setting up my startup for FIC 1450s and e85, cold starts are perfect, but warm starts aren't so great.

Thanks for the help,

-Will

I just set V7 up on an 05 Evo 8 last night. Car was on 96940011 - went to 96530706

All I did was simply copy my Immobilizer code to the same as my original ROM, and entered in "0x0058" in the Immobilizer Hex table. Car fired right up....

I'm running v7 and just recently removed the rear O2 so I could put a wideband in that bung. I thought that by running the rear O2 heater patch included with V7 and the heater CEL disable, I could remove the sensor completely without doing any sort of resistor mod. Anyhow, I immediately got a P0141 rear O2 sensor code. I even then tried toggling FAA periphery bit 1 to turn off the CEL and that didn't work either.

What is the right way to do this? I don't have an extra bung for this sensor. I assume that if I leave it plugged in I'd have a hot sensor to contend with?

Thanks for any help.
Bump for help. Basic question: Should I be able to unplug the rear O2 without setting a CEL without doing a resistor mod to the harness plug, if I turn off the heater circuit and run the rear O2 routine in V7?

Thanks!
