"8884001X - You can use 88580714 with no problems. Just ensure you copy your immobiliser AND 0xFFA bits (yes 0xFFA) otherwise the immobiliser wont work "

What to do with FFA bits to work the immo in the EU cars ? I cant see my original rom FFA settings.. which bits are important ?

if i dont remenber bad, the US and Euro cars has not manifold pressure sensor, only the japanese model

if you disconect the fuel pressure hose, your fuel pressure is static, and the injector pulse is tuned versus the fuel pressure...that it means that in idle your car would be very rich and your fuel trims would work a lot to get the 14.7 A/F

Then in boost, your can can be lean, because the fuel pressure regulator, gets more pressure under boost to win the pressure inside the engine and inject fuel inside. If you disconect it under boost, the injectors will have less fuel pressure, at the same pulse, result less fuel.

You need to conect it again an retune your car

i have installed the V7 in Euro cars, the only thing you need is change the "inmobilizer" to the same the car has, and the "inmobilizer hex" to the EDM (0x004D)

No more changes

I have a 2003 usdm evo8, but it is a 5 speed, and the rom indicates use of 6 speed..

Are there any problems with me using the 96530706 rom?

Are the maps/tables already set up for a stock car, or do i have to copy my stock maps over to this one??

My car is completely stock.

You are fine all of the evo 8 versions ive seen say 6MT. On another note I want to thank tephra, phenem, and all of the other ecu gurus. I recently swithched from the original v7 9653 rom to the 9417 rom to accomodate my new omni 4 bar. This rom is very smooth and I have no problems with throttle hang as I did with the previous rom. So thank you guys you are doing awesome work.

This ROM is fine but the 9417 rom is better. You might as well just use that one.

But as for the maps that are on these roms, are they set to stock values... so as my car is 100% stock, i could use this rom without any modifications to it?

Thanks for the info.

You have to convert your stock maps to big maps. Fuel/Timing. Use the big map translator in the first page to do this.

E7 ecu swap to E6 with V7 rom - immo problem

Hi
I uploaded 96530706-phenem V7 to mine E7 ecu installed in E6 car, but I can't start the car.
Probably it's immo problem. With "original" E7 rom 97250001 I'm using FFFF value as Immo code, but in 96530706-phenem V7 there are 3 fields:
- immo
- immo hex
- init code
what to put there to start the car ?

You can disable the immobalizer in periphery FAA bit 3 i believe someone correct me if I am wrong. Set that to 0 and you should be able to start it

the only things i changed were the immobilizer to the same as my original car has, and the immobilizer Hex that must be changed to the car origin country...if you dont know which one is, try the 3 codes
