Does it do it free-revving?
Sounds like somethings loose.

Never come across that.

No, as far as I know the ALS code does not exist in the 9653 rom. The config tables do and you can edit them all you like, but they won't do anything at all.

hmm any speed density roms for the evo 8s that do? ,, what about if you just modified the timing in the main ignition maps (retard) and also bumped the fuel table in the same area.. as far as air maybe open iac fully at same point??

You can retard the timing and add fuel to do launch control. In fact that's how the launch control on the tephra roms work, and that runs fine on 9653.

I'm running 96260709 on my JDM evo 8, which does have the ALS code but I haven't enabled it. I'm not sure if anyone made a SD version of that ROM though...

thanks for your reply

so your saying I could put some agressive retard figures in the launch ignition map and add fuel into the cells its spools up in.. what happens on the rev cut?? i thought laugh basically ur foot is hard down and it rev limits at a certain rpm?

There's a thread here where people have posted examples of their launch maps, take a look at them. In EcuFlash you'll find a Stationary Rev Limit map, which you can set to where you want to launch at. I have mine set to 5000 so I set my ignition retard to around -12 degrees at 5000 and smooth out the transition to the normal map as the revs drop.

There's a few threads here on how to set up launch control, it's pretty simple once you're running a tephra rom.

yeah i tried slow stationary loading it up with launch enabled, goes way past stationary limit to its main rpm limit. hmm
