So I tried searching this thread but can't find what Im looking for. I threw the 94170015 rom on an 04 evo (100% stock everything) with an ecu from another car so I could easily disable the immobilizer so we could fire the car up. I thought everything in the rom was stock settings. I noticed we aren't making anything over 11 psi (ish) of boost. I opened the main boost tables and found the 3d tables are all 0. 60 under boost adder load, 8.6 boost adder psi, and 225 boost limit.

I have done very little with tuning boost via stock ecu and stock solenoid so I dont know what settings are needed to allow it to perform as stock. Are 0's normal or am I missing something? If Im missing something, can someone provide me with the settings that should be used for stock boost? Thank you in advance

The tables are all zero'ed out by default in a new tephra rom, most likely to keep people from forgetting to edit the tables and over-boosting. You can start by increasing WGDC to 50% for all gears and all rpm, and adjust from there.

Here are the stock boost settings for 9417. Left is desired load, then wastegate, then load adder on top, then the stock boost limit table. tables 1# and 4 are the same, hence only showing #1 tables.

Since in the V7 ROM some of the tables are 3d, just fill all the column the same.

Hi guys, I see some great work done...I haven't been messing with evo's for a while and that kept me away from seeing all this development. Very soon I have to re-tune a evo which I did couple of years ago and SD tuning is really great as I can now ditch the AFM...hope I'm right.

Tephra....does the "Launch Control Maps" have anti-lag support .....will be great if it does and will I be asking for too much for rally style too.

Also are these maps based on particular sized restrictor or just stock setups.....

Thanks in advance

Regards

Unfortunately, it supports anti lag with launch control only.
I often wonder if proper anti lag is ever achievable on a stock evo ecu

I got a USDM EVO8 ecu MN132874_97140008 to try the Tehpra roms on my JDM EVO5, but non of these roms would start. I had a JDM ralliart rom 92460000 which i flashed and started the car. Is there any immo settings that need to be changed in the Tephra roms to start my EVO5. 96530706 Tephra-Mod.BIN is what I mostly tried. Some help in getting this going will be greatly appreciated. Regards, Zakie

Fuel pump pin # is different in usdm ECUs than JDM ECUs, so you'll have to either swap pins or use a JDM based tephra like the 90550001

Fuel pump pins are the same on all EVO7's and 8's. I have jumper harness for my EVO5 to use the EVO8 ecu with the fuel pump and Rad fan wires corrected. the EVO8 ecu that I got is a usdm anyway and I was able to start the car with this setup using a ralliart rom. I'm pretty sure its a immo issue which I need to figure out...

I'm running ROM i.d. 94170015 and tephra v7 ... converted all the settings from my original 008 rom.... Car ran perfectly on a Manual BC. I recently installed a Grim Speed EBCS for ECU controlled boost... i zeroed out the BEC table right column per the instructions (i saved the original settings in an excel file)... my WGDC table is at 50% (little low i know but im paranoid about over boosting)...... My question is with regard to the "Base Boost Curve" mrfred is talking about... Do I utilize the stock ROM settings(015 and 008 are the same) of "Boost Desired Engine Load"? If so then what is the "Boost Adder"? per mrfred he is utilizing local atmospheric pressure as boost adder... being that i am in VA beach it would be roughly 14.5... stock rom is show 60 units???

This is what is confusing me.. if boost is a combination of "Base Boost Curve" and "Boost Adder"... what data becomes the boost curve? for my current set-up 20lbs of boost on a stock 8 turbo is good enough... i just wanted the perks of a EBCS for now..

any help is greatly appreciated...

I got the car running with 96530706 rom and now I would like to start working on SD using the 96533706 since my car is a JDM EVO5 I'm not sure what map sensor it has. What would be my best straight forward option for a map sensor and IAT hook up as I will be getting rid of the MAF.

Will the usdm evo 9 rom, 88590715, work on a edm evo 9?
I want to use v7 and speed density so i guess it's the only way?

So what will be the best choice for these two sensors to start using SD, i mean plug and play without having to change the scalers, XML etc. wiring them in shouldn't be much of a issue to me.

evo9/10 oem 3 bar map sensor and evo9 iat sensor . You can get an adapter for the map sensor il have a look for a link , for the IAT sensor drill and tap the inlet manifold or upper i/c pipe iirc its 12x1.5mm thread but il double check .
