Hey everyone, I'm currently switching over to tephra and was just wondering,
I have a usdm evo 9 and will be using 88590715. My mods are very minimal as of now (intake/Exhaust) running on stock tune.

Are the fuel/ignition maps in the Tephra rom an ok starting point to start tuning?

Also I was looking the in tephra rom and can't seem to find where to disable the immobilizer code? (would like it disabled for alarm system/remote start)

Thanks for all your help in advance.

My suggestion to you, tune your stock rom first, then transfer your maps to V7. It will require more tweaking to dial it in on V7 after the transfer as well.

xml goes in documents/evoscan/datasettings/Mitsubishi MUTII EFI.xml for evoscan 2.9

I have Evo6 USDM with intake and exhaust me too on stock tune, I want to swap to V7(before to upgrade some parts and tune), as I see, they only thing I would have to modify is for the boost part that seems empty, otherwise, everything should work normally?

And about the rear O2 Simulator, I have read thread on it but not really sure to understand for what it is really for. It's just for the CEL? when I will swap a WBO2, I tought I have to plug it in the rear O2 plug?

Thanks!

Tephra questions

Searched and same answer

If you copy everything over some of the tables wont match up so trying to figure out how to work that

for example in the stepper table will be completly off in my stock rom it reads throttle position, and the tephra reads coolant temp for one of the axis, not to mention if you edit the map definition you can change the tables without changing the address to link it but is the stock rom almost the same as the tephra?

or would you just copy your imbolizer over and just tune from there?

ok little confused I have a 2003 lancer evo 8 with a sunroof if that helps determine the model

should i be using 94170715 or 96530706

Sounds like you didn't copy the immobilizer data over.

I had trouble starting my car too (Evo 9 MR with same ROM ID) at one point because I enabled the alt map settings in the Tephra Options list. Once I disabled it I reflashed my ECU and my car started right up. Still trying to figure out what's going on with that one...

I have Evo 9 MR too and I switch to Tephra this weekend with the MAF.
It works great.

I have change the immobilizer, enter the code for the load or psi option for the boost (i choose load), copy the base load boost I have in my stock room into the new one (I copy the low gear for 1 to 3 gear and the high gear for 4 to 6 gear).

After, there was 2 wrong adress, I change them for the same that in the stock rom values (Did that for Accel Enrich and Max total upward wdc correction).

I also change the 0 for a 2 in the rom definition name to get the live mapping.

i'm having problems keeping tephra v7 in my Evo 9 ecu, every time i load it then read, then read it's there but after a bit of time it gets lost. i'll read the ecu a couple days later after not driving it and it's gone. has anyone had this problem?

PS i'm switching to SD, ID2000 with E85

How is it gone... Not reading at all ?
Do you use the same computer ?
Did you try a fresh install of Ecuflash, tephra v7 and definitions.
The Ecu uses a dead memory (ROM) to store data so unless someone flash it over, it doesn't get erased and doesn't need battery to keep ROM data. Maybe your ECU is bad, but this is very rare.
