This is an issue with a bunch of old threads missing xml defs. Check this thread out for info and a couple temporary workarounds.

90550701 Launch Maps Not working

Hi guys, need some help please.

I am busy tuning a JDM Evo 7.
Original ROM ID = 98640014

Car in now flashed with Tephra V7 90050701 and everything work 100% except for the fact that it won't "switch over' to the launch maps.

The best it can do it bounce on the set rev limit as defined in the "Stationary Rev Limiter"

I have enabled launch settings as per the screenshot below but the car doesn't want to switch overt to the launch maps.

Anybody have and ideas what could be wrong.

I have confirmed the clutch switch is working, since it is a JDM model, the car won't start unless the clutch is pressed in all the way to engage the switch.
No issues in getting the car to start o\if the clutch is pressed all the way down.

Okay. I also have a JDM GSR Evo 7 Original ROM ID = 98640016 but it didn't come with the clutch switch (or a rear O2 sensor for that matter) but my launch map works (at least I've messed with it and seen boost gains when stationary). Never needed to press the clutch pedal to start the car either. I'll check my settings when I get back my cable.

Thanks, please let me know.
I tried increasing the Launch Map Speed Threshold to 15 MPH but still nothing.
Interesting that the stationary rev limiter on the 90050701 V7 works fine but not the launch maps.

For kicks I have just tried the 96530706 V7 but the launch maps also don't work nor does the stationary rev limiter.

strangely, i have tried the 9653 v7 on a gta 7 ecu, it works fine, launch maps are working, building boost... cant get the timing go lower than -10. experiencing rev hang issue and rich idle which goes over 10 minutes or so.

Please can you send me your V7 XML file.

Only thing I can think of that might be an issue as everything else seems in order.

I've not used the original xml actually. Here's the one I use as a reference.

Downloaded 96530706 for my 2005 USDM EVO, changed the Immobilizer HEX appropriately but my car won't start until switching back to the old stock ROM. Not sure where I went wrong?

Make sure you have the appropriate init code, immobilizer, and immobilizer hex.

I did change the immobilizer hex to 0x0058, however did not change the immobilizer and init code. Do I just copy the same init and immobilizer codes that are in my original rom?
