Any chance we can also have the scale settings coverted for us, that make use of a Defi boost sensor (as posted over here) and who make use of Bar instead of PSI.

Thx
I beieve MrFred has scalings for more boost sensors already done, someone just needs to get ALL of his data and I can pre-load all of the scalings for everyone.

Tephra & phenem! any solution for limitation ignition in stock ecu? minimun is -10º

I use this code, but not solution...
<table name="ALS Retard Limit" category="Timing" address="173e" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint16"/>

Set 203 to 255 and no results... Always is -10º.

psi/gear boost set-up

Would someone be willing to post up what the set up for psi based gear dependant boost control looks like for, say 21 PSI peak, tapered to around 19PSI up top in gears 1-5?

If I've got this right it's "boost desired engine PSI" + boost adder ?

Not sure totally how/why to set BWDC or max upward correction...

Does this look close? These are the onlt relavant tables for PSI boost, correct?

Yes, Desired boost + Adder = Actual Desired psia ... so, actual boost plus local atmospheric pressure.

WGDC% (BWDC%) is the duty cycle of the wastegate solenoid defined to reach the desired psi. Higher = higher boost. This is the main tool used to dial in a nice, smooth boost curve.

Max upward correction is a cap on how much WGDC% the ECU can add to reach the desired boost. If BWDC% is "70" and the max upward correction is 5, your WGDC% is capped at 75%.

0714? I was under the impression that 0715 was for the IX's, or are you doing both?

Looking forward to the release!!!!

edit: Tephra, I took the other "big map translator" and modified it to work w/ IX's, so no worries...
(I simply edited more load columns) Im not sure why your translator is not working for me...

I would refine your RPM axis so you get better resolution during full boost.
ex. take out 1000 / 1500 / 2250 / 2750 and add in 3250 / 3750 / 4250 etc wherever you want it... Boost doesnt really come on till 2000 + anyway! Ive seen some start their map w/ 3000...

You need to correct your 'Boost Desired Engine 'PSI' tables. The map sensor is absolute pressure, not gauge pressure so when you have the 'Boost Adder' set for your local atmospheric pressure (you entered 14.7) then you'll want to just enter your desired "GAUGE" pressure in the charts (in your case, 21 PSIg, tapering to 19PSIg). I believe this thread has detailed instructions on how to adjust it:

Thank you Sirs. I made some changes based on the above posts. If the resulting boost profile looks good I'll throw up the logs and screen shots of the settings for others.

Since the search engine hates to actually search for things other than milwaukees drunkest evo owners, is anyone else having odd load issues? I know my turbo setup is moving some serious air but something tells me that I am not actually in the 5000+ load range at WOT. I also hit serious boost cut that I never hit before but thats probably something I missed porting my maps over. Otherwise the base ROM works well and Im going to give the SD a try this weekend.

Tephra,

I can test 88590015 if needed. I have the JOT Toggle wired in for map switching. Im not just trying to get a test copy to use either. Im happy as can be with my 5.10 anyhow. I should be able to test all the features.

Chris
