Thanks.

Paul

Verify the immobilizer hex is the same for your car. Mine is different and will cause a no start.

What I have found is that using the periphery bits most time does not work to disable immob. Adding the address and manually changing it to 56D2 usually does the trick.

The reason is:
The immobilizer bit is wrong defined in most XMLs it is bit3 (4th bit from bottom) not bit2 (3rd bit from bottom).

I changed it on the wiki: http://evoecu.logic.net/wiki/Periphery_Configuration

TTP, I was speaking of the actuall HEx used to allow the immobiliser to work. I have had no problems with the Periphery trick, but the standard V7 has 0040 in the Immobiliser hex and the should be changed to 0058 for the 05 evo. The 04 may have something else.

Good info. Changed in my xml.

Any idea what people are turning off then with the incorrect address?

the immobilizer hex does not show up in either the 96420011 or phenem's 96530706..... at least in my computer.

It disables two pwm outputs. but i don't know what the do (it's not egr, wastegate, real front heater, real rear heater, purge solenoid).
I have found something about front and rear heater bank 2 on a v6 rom. but on a evo? maybe some solenoids.

What pins numbers do v6 models have with evo8-style ecu plugs for o2 heater?

My car is an 04 and used 0x0055 for the immobilizer hex. BlackE try downloading the newest version of V7 a couple pages back. It has the immobilizer hex in it. The V7 on page 1 of this thread does not.

Edit: I lied the second post in this thread has in fact been updated.
