UPDATE,,2step not working,, 2003 evo..

No matter what I do Stationary Rev Limit doesn't work,,,
2003 evo 8 .... what can be the problem..

clutch switch is either not hooked up or broke.

u doing it right? lol

i wasn't ahhaha

stop put in 1st gear and push in the clutch fully. Slowly rev till u hit the rev limit then floor it. make sure the car is on flat ground.

Now if the clutch switch was broken... the car wouldn't????

Correct, it has to break the circuit so the car knows its in neutral.

2003? Maybe you don't have 2step. I'm sure your tuner would have added this.

All USDM Evo VIII's and IX's had a "2 step" it is called the stationary rev limiter in the ecuflash tables. On the 03-04 VIII's it was just set higher than the Engine Rev limiter so it had no effect. kinda like being turned off. I have flashed several peoples cars and set them the same as the 05 VIII's and later IX's to have them activated at 5500 rpm. I'm with JohnBradley (Aaron) the lower clutch switch is either broken or disconnected.

There are 2 different switches, 1 for starter kill and one for 2-step. In any case, if the starter switch is broken (or disconnected) it defaults to allowing the car to start. I use this so that I don't have to clutch in on start to prevent some wear on parts.

Also, your exact set of posts have probably literally been posted 15-20 times in this sub-forum. Please do a search.

Fixed the problem... DAMM SPPEDO wire wasn't pluged in,,,
2step working fine,,,
