launch maps
I was wondering if everyone would like to post up their launch maps both fuel and timing along with the results from them just to see what works well and what doesn't.
Please list fuel type and turbo as well.

This isn't thoroughly tested, but seems to build 15+ psi rather quickly. Using Timing Retard Limit mod to get -20. Stationary rev limit is at 6500

I was asked to take a look at this.
The timing retard will hold the RPM steady and build boost. The extra fuel that is added in that area keeps the EGT's under control. Looking at the posted map that is going to build some very nice boost pretty quickly.
I'm using the Haltech anti lag right now and using -17 degrees of retard and adding 50% fuel, the effect is retarded. The car will hit 30+ psi in a matter of a second or two and keep climbing from there, it's not enough to hold the RPM back.
I hate to ask a stupid question but.................I don't have those parameters in any of my maps, I'm assuming it's in the new Tephra v7?
If so it's time for another donation and a download.
Once I get this loaded I'll play with it and give some feedback on it.

Dave is spot on -15 to -20 is where you should be at, keep ur AFRs at 10-11 (yes i love the flames)
i don't have it yet but its based on TPS and Speed from my understanding. that way you wont engage it when pulling off or switching gears. both parameters can be changed.
How does it switch? Speed based?

My timing map is attached; really, it's a -10 block, with interpolation downward from my normal high-octane timing map. I've avoided running -10 all the way out to the right-hand side as a buffer (there's obviously a problem if load continues building beyond a certain point); I should probably do the same thing for low-load conditions as well, since I'm a fan of smooth transitions for stuff like this. As others have mentioned, -15 or lower is necessary for "cool flames", although I get the occasional backfire here and there with this too.
Fuel is the same as my stock high-octane map; frankly, I get good enough results with this (stock MR turbo) that it hasn't been necessary to mess with it. I would expect a larger turbo to require some adjustment. *points in recompile's direction*
Also attached is a quick (zipped) log.
