Ok I need a little help diagnosing something here...I'm trying to help a friend of mine scale a set of PTE1200's on his IX but am having a little trouble. I started out with the scaling and latencies from this thread which seemed to be the most widely used out there for these injectors:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/8794310-post98.html
But the afr just swings full lean on his AEM WB.
I brought the global down a good deal to see if I could even get it to register on the gauge but it just keeps going full lean. The thing is though, when I log it in evoscan the STFT hover around -2% to +4% and the ltft low on the first cycle settled on -4.8% which means I'm kinda in the ballpark and should at least be idling at stoich.
Does this possibly look like a bad sensor?

I am going to try this with 900 for scaling and use his latencies

Question I have been following this thread for quite some time and been using this to help dial-in the injectors.
FIC 1450 93-octane
I'm stuck at the low trims so I tried :
the latencies got worse so then I did:
So here is some before readings :
MID TRIMS ARE perfect for me around -3 to -4. My low trims are what I am having a hard time with.
Scaling=1329
2.664
2.088
1.656
1.344
1.152
.960
.792
After 15mins my low trims are at 12.6512
Then I increased my latency value :
2.736
2.160
1.704
1.368
1.129
.936
.816
After fifteen minutes of driving my mid trims were 11.8668.
Any ideas on what I should try next?
Changing the scaling??

Then you have to watch your fuel trims at idle, and cruising.. This is where your Injector Latency Voltage comes in.. If the trims at cruise are okay, then you adjust the lower voltage readings (below 13 volts) to increase the amount of fuel at idle slightly.
If idle or cruise trim is positive, then you need to increase the latency value.

1300 scaling sounds like what I would start at if I had 1450 injectors....that's total guessing btw.

I do apologize, I meant to type my LOW trims were 11.8668.

THANK YOU very much for the explanations and all the help! I was able to get my mid trims to -1 and my low with +5.
I will post my latency/scalings once I double check them.

And 7 is pretty reasonable, if it's solid there, still some room to adjust as needed. For my idle trim, I increase battery injector latency, and it makes a difference at idle way more than it does at cruise....hardly any difference at cruise to tell you the truth.

Here is a question about resetting values. I have an Evo 8 and lets say my ltft is 10. I add some to the latencies to bring it down. Do I have to disconnect the battery after that? I know if I do it will reset it to 0 right away. I have noticed if I dont disconnect the battery the 10 will come down to what it is eventually. Im assuming it would be quicker to disconnect the battery than to wait. Is my thinking correct or am I going about this all wrong? I just dont like disconnecting battery because then I have to recalibrate my wideband again
