Those questions are pretty vague? Probably should post this in a different part of the forum.

I can get 100 Octane gas from the pump here - but I don't think that's what you're asking.

I want to know if running 36 psi has any gains over running 30 psi using the gt35r turbo and pump fuel?

Just curious if any one has done this.

u can do it if your willing to blow up your motor...u can but u wont make any addtional power over the 30 psi reason being is that u will have to cut timing and that's what makes power....how much are u putting down right now...list your setup with out that we cant help u ...

I have seen a 2.0 forged engine, running a hybrid GT35 run 2.5bar on a dyno on 99 octane.

The power was around 730bhp@flywheel, however it didn't last very long as the headgasket blew out, at 7000rpm, which ended up scrapping the head.

It had already ran at 2.0bar and pushed 680bhp@ fly.

Depends on so many things... cams, turbo, intercooler, etc...

There are a lot of instances of people running over 2 bar on UK or USA type pump fuel (93 pon / 98 ron). But they are normally big turbo cars with well done headwork, big intercooler, etc.

If you don't have everything perfect mods wise I don't think many cars will like running over 2 bar on pump.

29-32 on 92 octane is pretty easy with the larger 35r and a big intercooler. The thing is you can run into the point of no return with boost vs timing. You need to make sure the engine breathes as well as possible, the exhaust is as unrestrictive as possible, and knock control is precise. The HG issue mentioned earlier I would be willing to bet was do to either insufficient head studs or excessive cylinder pressure (either timing too high or det).

Someone on here with a 35R recently tuned their car to 33 psi on pump and picked up power going from 30-33. That's the highest I've heard of someone intentionally running the boost on pump gas. My car was tuned at 32 psi on a Red on pump but I wouldn't dream of turning it up higher.

when my car had the stock intake manifold on it my timing was 9* peak for 531whp. I switched to the Magnus and didnt change timing. I got it to around 542 and the car didnt make anymore power at 32psi than it had at 29. Added a degree of timing and the power jumped to 559 at 30psi. Turned it up again and it didnt make anymore at 32, added a degree and it went to 565 at 29. Basically I did this all the way until 574 and 13* / 29psi before it hit knock on the dyno. On the street in one good pull it went to 32 again (not sure if it was really making more power or not) on a spike while shifting. It didnt knock, but based on my previous experience I dont know if it was doing anything either. On 98RON/93US I think you could run it out to 32 and make good power.

I know one or two guys with 6765s that have run 36 on 93 but I am not sure if they were really making more power at that level than they could have/were at a little lower boost.

I know for a fact just a few psi goes along way, 32.5psi cracked 620awhp, 28psi 588awhp on the 6765.

I have a fully built 2l lump with all supporting head work etc. running 282/272 kelford cams and 3" system. Basically I have a b uilt engine that can handle the pressure.

At 30 psi and 36.7 psi I can run the same timing without knock (9-14*) and with more boost it does drink more fuel.

Certainly feels faster with more boost.

What do the tuners say with their experiences?
