2-step
Ive seen hundreds of videos of cars spitting flames(backfiring) when they 2-step. But i dont, ive tryed -10, -20 timing in the load cells for the 2-step with the fuel map set to 7.4afr. It bounces off the 2-step faster but no flames. I have a 2.5" dp and cat delete to a 3" catback, shouldnt i be getting flames? Any suggestions, to make it backfire when i 2-step? Please no BS replies saying backfiring is bad, or why do i want my car to spit flames, I just do it makes for a loud and crazy launch. Thanks in advance

what are your actual timing values that you log?even though you map -20 it mayb be only hitting -9 or it may not even be going negative. and what rpm is the 2step activating?

Do you have a catalytic converter? If so that will ruin it. Also you have to have a pretty open muffler and a short exhaust. I set my AFR's to 12:1 and the timing to -20 and she lets fire out.

I have a test pipe (no cat), 2.5" dp to 2.5" test pipe and a 3" n1 catback. the 2-step is set at 3500rpm builds 10psi, i log around 3600rpm with -10 when i have it set to -10. i cant find my log with timing at -20 but i believe it was loging -20. I do have stock cam which im thinking is why im not getting flames. I have a sohc 4g64, i read the cam doesnt have alot of over lap but i cant find actual lifts for it. all you can smell is fuel when i 2-step it sometimes pops but no flame. Im thinking maybe i need more timing that the exhaust valves are closed by -20 and -10 sense its a stock cam im gonna try 0. If that doesnt work im gonna set the 2-step at 4000rpm to see if that helps. Any other suggestions?
