Ecuflash connection problem

I'm a newbie with tuning. I dl ecuflash and I have a open port 2.0 tatrix cable. I'm trying to get a stock rom read. When I open up Ecuflash, select my vehicle 3rd gen evo, and then start reading I receive an error and the logging stops. What am I doing wrong???
I have now done more research. I have gone back and went into add/remove programs and deleted previous dl ecuflash and tatrix drivers. I have dl Ecuflash unlocker from active matrix.
I have tried to read the rom again and this is what i got. The only thing I can think of is my car battery is low. Any suggestions would be awesome!! I'll even take over the phone advice my names Fred 248345-4809.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

could be a low battery, I've had a few cars that I connected my battery charger to them and was suddenly able to read from them.

is your key turned to ignition ON ? Same thing happened to me this past weekend, where I forgot to turn the key all the way to Ignition On, and same error message came out.

its getting to the init sequence so it could only be a couple of things. Your battery is low, try to charge it up and pull it again. Second, your rom is locked and you need the unlocker found here: http://www.aktivematrix.com/forum/dl...gory&cat_id=11. Or your car is not in the On position but not started.
