Help on how-to: Log AFR from the AEM UEGO w/o a serial cable
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know how I can wire in my AEM UEGO to my ECU. I have given up having to always use the serial cable.
I did a search but I can only find the LC1 wideband.
Any help would be appreciated.

In order to log from the ECM, you must apply this patch and have the formula correct. Or you could just use a serial>USB cable.

Edit: I've tried both ways to log and I ended up just using the serial>usb cable rather than the patch. That patch is great for many more reasons than just logging and that's all I was really using for.

What you have supplied is for the car to adjust fuel trims to match AFR's. I have heard of a way to remove the rear O2 line coming into the ECU and exchanging it with the data out on the UEGO and logging that way. Not sure how to do it still though, and what patch would have to be applied to make it work.

if the output on the aem is anything like the LC1 analogue output you just connect 1 cable to pin 73 and log mut12 (just checking this brb) . its all there ready to go
the ecu does not use the input for anything but you can log it.

That patch is exactly what that does (and more)....you are removing the signal input from the rear O2 and suppling the signal from the WB, hence the logging capabilities.
Dangit...do ADM cars use rear O2's? If not sorry for the confusion... I need to pay attention to where you guys are from

yep adm(jdm) same as uk cars no rear o2
if you have a jdm 3pin plug ecu it will work with the pin73 and either mut12 or 3c

Ok guys I actually did this yesterday and its worked amazing, the AFR are reading perfectly from what I can see with Evoscan with the formula that I think Drill sergeant or Mrfred posted. All you do is connect the White wire(Not the blue one which is for the serial cable) that is on the gauge and run it to pin #73 like others have said after having the wideband installed of course, for more details just go to the LC-1 install thread that Mr Fred posted but its really not that hard, just make sure you dont cut the wrong wire. Of course this is for USDM Evo's

Ok so for a JDM evo 8 with no rear 02,
all I need to do is follow Mrfred post and conenct the white line from the uego to Pin 73? What happens if I have no line going there now? Do i need to get the male pin and replace the pin 73?
This will definately work for JDM? Do I need to then do anything with Evoscan? How do I log Mut 12 I tried looking in evoscan but there is no function. The only function they have is the WBO2 logging from the ecu(Is that the one I use)

Yes, get a ecu pin to attach to the white wire of the AEM and install to pin 73 of ecu, go to the MUT table and change the required input to whatever it's supposed to be....cant remeber (8409 maybe on MUT 12?...not sure).

look in your evoscan and depending on which version your using there will be a request column with lots of numbers / letters
the one that has 12 in is mut12 look to the display column on the left of that and it will give some sort of wideband description
LC1,WBo2 etc etc
just tick it to log it once you have installed a pin in pin 73
ignore mut12 EGR

Hi Guys,
I managed to get this working, however I have the wrong values in Evoscan because my AFR are way wrong
function is 0.039137255*V+10
and is calling Mutt 3c. I have it going to pin 73
