You have to copy your own maps into the tephramod.

no stock low octane maps still work, but are used for both altmap and normal map..

guys, I want to use 5 v signal for map switching, what "alternate map master" on the ECU should I use ?

Also, when using Aquamist HSF6 failsafe system, what "alternate map master" should I use ?

5v switching only works for EDM cars because they don't have the fuel tank pressure.

so you want to wire it into the fuel tank pressure signal - which is pin 112.

try it and it should work, OTHERWISE use the tried/trye method of the resistor method (like the USDM guys have too)

Tephra,

Can you remove or replace the aquamist diagram on the first page, I believe the white and the black wire is quite accurate.

The following diagram works well. The 270 ohm resistor is very closed to the trigger point of 0l5V. Can you default it to 0.7V? I can alter the resistor to 200ohm (your original value)

tried yesterday to tune evo x sst with 53050109 rom. Tried 2 ways of connection.

Orange wire to pin 112. When I switched aquamist on, the dashboard light started flashing, but the car didnt switch to alternate map, it stayed on main map.

Tried connecting to pin 115 with white wire, but the failsafe didnt work. It didnt react to fuel level and signal in the white wire didnt change.

how did you verify the map didn't switch?

flashing dashboard ICS light usually is a good indicator

Try setting M/S trigger voltage to 0.6V. The default is 0.5V.

Some system has reported the aquamist mapswicth voltage is 0.53 volts with a 270 ohm resistor. This means the ECU will not see it.

Alternatively, use a 200 ohm resistor, this will bring the voltage down to ~0.4V. This voltage will ensure the altmap trigger.

I have altered the aquamist/tephra drawing to 200 ohm this morning.

I had 2 fuel maps, one map for petrol, other for methanol. Logged afr and it was from petrol map, not methanol one, but the light was flashing. That was realy strange.

an easy way to tell is to set the boost/wgdc to 0 on the altmap.

that you can definiltey tell

I have an evo x with the aquamist hfs6, using V1 rom.
After connecting pin 115 as described earlier in this thread,
The check engine light is on, showing "fuel temp sensor".
Is it supposed to through a cel?
