LTFT Mid not coming in...

Guys

I was dealing with an issue earlier today with neither LTFT Lo/Mid populating after long idle/cruise periods.

Tonight I reset the battery, resetting all fuel trims

This time I let the car idle for probably 10 mins. The LTFT Low started to come in and settled at a decent number. I am pretty happy with it (however the car still runs too lean at idle - roughly 16:1) The log for that is here...

http://www.booztd3.com/Logs/Idle_Log_1.csv

So after that, I went for a 20 min cruise or so, and the LTFT Mid did NOT come in. It stat at 0 the entire time. The car was running pretty spot on (bouncing around 14.7) the whole cruise. You can verify the AFR's and verify the 0 LTFT Mid in this log

http://www.booztd3.com/Logs/Cruise_Log_1.csv

I'm a little stumped now......

One thing thats got me curious, is I believe this engine had the ralliart coolant temp sensor, and temps are in the low 150's cruising on highway speed, im wondering if thats preventing it from staying in closed loop once it reaches those temps. At idle the temps are normal...

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

I had upgraded from 1050's to 1650's.........

However, based upon several reports, I will be stepping down to 1450's for ease of idle/driveability.

This trial with the 1650's is essentially for learning purposes. I have only been using ECUFlash since Friday....lol

Hello,

I did fuel trims log too only at cruiseing. I did 5 log every time last 20 minutes . First 70mph than 76mph 96mph and than 65mph. I coud log only my LTFT mid . At the first log it was -4.2% than -5% and in the end it was -2.5% and -1.2% and stayed there. Is it normal that my LTFT low and high didnt change ? always read 0.1%. I forget to log my STFT
I have stock injetors stock intake but have cams and other maf what I would like to calibrate.

If you are on the stock MAF your LTFT low will not adjust until you are below the Hz threshold. The mid takes about 10-20 mins to start adjusting. It should eventually stabilize. Once it does, then you have to make adjustments and then clear the memory and start the process again. Takes forever to properly scale injectors.

I checked the periphery bit (FAA) I believe.....bit 1 possibly? Cant remember off the top of my head, but it was set to 1.

If the rear 02 was disabled, I dont think the LTFT Low would have populated in addition to the mids not populating

I've been looking over his (booztd 3) maps, etc. His rear o2 isn't disabled via the periphery bit. His Ltft low seems to be setting just fine. His Stft also seems to be normal as is o2 voltage. The only thing I noticed out of whack was his last tuner disabled almost every bit associated with a P0 code. A couple of them had to do with the front 02 sensor. I reenabled the bits dealing with the 02 sensor and sent the rom back, but have yet to hear of the results.

WTF is with some "tuners" these days? I get so irritated when I see someone doing things like that. No point in it at all.

masking sucks.. damm idiots..

How fast does the front o2 sensor warmup? Is it slow to warm up? Do the fuel trims wander progressively rich or lean?

Your Front O2 sensor could be going out.

Trims are actually really good except for some throttle transitional spots, but he's in the process of tuning his injectors. I just got an update and his mids are now registering but now he's throwing a p0069 map vs baro code. I also reenabled that bit.

I agree with the "masking". I'm thinking they possibly disabled bits to cover up some cel problems.

The P0069 was from me enabling the bit that was supposed to be disabled for a jdm map sensor.
