8859 uses a slightly different approach. It has the "Knock Sensitivity Load Threshold" but does not have the decay timer.
Rather it uses "Knock Background Noise Multiplier" as it's method of knock sensitivity. Simply raising the values will desensitize the knock sensor. WARNING....raise the values too much, you won't know if you are hitting knock or not.

Ok, thanks.
Regarding tip-in knock. I initially had some and had a heck of a time getting it dialed out. I would keep lowering timing and making the transitions as smooth as I could, it would still be there. Then I read in a thread about someone else having a similar problem who actually RAISED timing, which made the knock go away. At the time I read this, my problem area had timing values nearly 10* lower than other maps I was seeing with similar mods/octane. I raised timing about 5* in my problem area and the car immediately stopped knocking there. I'm still messing around with the map, but it's definitely much better now. All that to say, sometimes too low of a timing can also cause knock, however I don't believe that to be the case here for your car Akeric, as the timing you're running appears normal/comparable with other maps I've seen.

The knock sum decay timer is there as a time for the knock count to linger. We lower the value to make the knock hit fast and go away fast. Makes pinpointing the problem area much, much easier.
Post what rom you have....we can find it for you.
Even if you don't have it though, you can still adjust the other tables as I stated. You should see knock improvements. I am willing to bet that your cams, springs, and retainers are creating a little more valve train noise that is being picked up as knock.

Your crappy 91 alaska gas has much more potential than the 93 oct where I live, what's your avg IAT's?
Knock sensor harmonic tune is off once the engine is modified anyway so why waste time worrying about it, especially in load areas where cyl pressures are low. Just run methanol inj and pull the plug
