Question Complete Newbie wants Tephra

Hi,

Recently I got myself a 1.3u limitless cable, evoScan(2.7) and EcuFlash(1.42). I have got all these to work and understand how to use the tools.

What I want to do next is install Tephra. I have the 88570008 ROM(Evo IX FQ-320) and do not think V7 is out for this yet. I have V5.10 from https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...d-v5-10-a.html am I correct that I can just flash this using EcuFlash?

If this is the case I have some questions:

1) The immobilizer code is set to 0000, I take it this disables it? I don't really want this so do I just copy over the code from the ROM I have downloaded from my car?

2) I have been comparing the tables and noticed that some are different compared to my stock ROM. Is this a problem? Some examples, High Octane Ignition Map 2, Boost Desired Engline Load # 1,2,3,4, Max wastegate Duty, VVT Map 1(which is totally different)

Thanks Mat.

You should replace the immobilizer code with the one from your original map.

Also as far as the rest of the tables go I believe the tephra mods come with a default sort of base maps that can be used, but you should get them tuned. If you already have a tune, or want the maps from you stock rom, make sure things are scaled properly and then copy and paste from the original rom to the new tephra map.

Obviously after you make any changes to your car make sure to do plenty of logging to make sure things are running the way they are supposed to.

I am in the same boat. I have some mods on my car (HTA Green, stock injectors etc). Can I flash Tephra 7 and be happy?

The reason I ask is because my car has been messed with and I want to start from a baseline. Or should I install 15 Rom and start from there?

I offer a service for converting to tephra V7. Give me a PM or email if you have any questions.

You wont need a retune if your currently tune, as the maps will be copied over exactly.

Considering I haven't found a true Tephra v7 for beginners thread that explains things in detail I'll give a link to what I'm doing for one.
I'm going through all of my maps and scalings and posting successes and areas of issue that I run into and how I found the fixes or what I came up with and what happens.
If you have any good input for my thread please visit and toss in your two cents as it will be a great help. If you just need help and a guide and want to read, hop over to the thread and give it a read or ask questions.

1. there isn't even any link to your thread.

2. reviving 2 year old threads hoping to get people to check yours out won't help your cause.
