Have you tried swapping out the Perrin rail for a OEM one? Not saying its the problem, just throwing ideas out there.

I haven't.
I was looking around for answers and Lean Spool popped up.
I can't find where to disable or enable it. Seems like if it's enabled, it could be causing some problems.

I'm still messing with the scaling and latency.

My trims are
Low-1.36
Mid-5.85

this is what I'm using now:

The idle trim is close but the idle feels like ****. Even for cams. It stumbles a lot and doesn't wanna start on the first crank does reluctantly.

Boosted-do you have scaling and latency values for FIC 850s that have worked well for you? I would really appreciate it.

I have tried both on the "Injector scaling and latency supermerge" thread. With no luck.

I did lower the fuel a bit in the area I'm having trouble and it helped but it still feels off and is knocking a bit with timing that is way less than I was running before the injectors.

What can I do to the latency to improve startup and idle. The battery voltage seems about the same during idle and cruise so if I change that value, I'll also change cruise. Or is that okay cause I wanna get the Cruise trim closer to zero.

To turn lean spool off, change FBA bit. 0 from "1" to "0"

Next, I will have to look to see if I have some setting for the FIC 850s. The settings int eh supermerge thread should all be great starting point, but will most likely require some adjusting

Great thank you

Is this change made in the rommetadata directory for my Rom ID 96420007?

I opened it in notepad so I can make the change but can't find FBA Bit. I'll search around.

Thanks
Chris

In ECuflash you shoudl have "ECU periphery" section and in there a table labeled as FBA, go into it and change the bit.

If you dont have the table s, then you need to add them to you .xml.

Your LTFT seem goo and are both within -/+5. If you wanna try and make them better, try raise scaling up one step. Report back

I think the scaling is good but my idle and startup suck.

Can this be tweaked with the latency?

I think the next step in ECUflash is 812 which is too much.

Do the latency values I posted look right to you?

I patched in thye periphery stuff lastnight. Disabled Lean Spool. I'll try that today.

Thanks so much man.

Don't worry about part throttle knock, if boost is less than 12psi the cyl pressures aint high enuf to cause any concern. it's usually something else harmless anyhow i.e. piston slap, harmonic noise, etc.

About running out of fuel, even though your actuallly rich (11's), if your throwing all the fuel you have at it and can't get it any richer perhaps something else with fuel system is outta-whack (i.e. fuel pump, regulator diaghram pressure, etc). The stock turbo 8 at pump gas levels is not enough to run out of fuel with those injectors unless it's the lean spool area your concerned with - you have that covered

I flashed the map with lean spool disabled. It's super rich, so I don't think I have a fueling problem now. BUT.............the part throttle knock has gotten worse...It hit ~24 today

I think I need some help. The car is making about 50 less hp on the timing and fuel I'm running now. This is all because I thought I was running lean because of the old injectors. Turned out to be the Lean Spool. But now I'm ****ing stuck.

I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Just a thought ... have you tried running MORE timing in those areas? Too little timing can also cause knock.

I think I sort of have it figured out. I think that was part of the problem. Coupled with out of control AFRs.
The guy that's tuning me made some adjustments and it's much better.

I can't seem to get these injectors scaled properly.

It's one extreme or the other.

If someone has some proven scaling and latency values other than the ones posted in the injectors scaling and latency supermerge. that'd be so awesome.
