Timing Map since i increased my Boost

Hi All,

I have increased my boost to around 26psi, i have a map below and ive tried tracing the timing map when its on boost,

Im having a little issue where im getting some knock at around 6000rpm to redline, the timing map hasnt changed there from when i was on 23psi and i never got any knock there before, and i believe its the same cells too.

Its not knocking every pull maybe the first 2 and then the 3rd could go clean

Just want some input ill try get a log attached tonight.

98RON AUS, but i think thats about 93OCT in US,

AFR is around 10.9ish ill log tonight and post the log with my Wideband Plugged in.

The thing i cant work out is that before increasing the boost it was still hitting those cells at 6000+

that doesnt make sense. if u increase boost the load will increase as the airflow has increased. what load are u logging

Nah what i meant was because the boost is falling off by 6000rpm

Im logging Load 1byte with Tephra V7 which means i dont have to log 2byte,

Ill log the car tonight and post the logs for the pull.

But i dont think the timing map is very aggressive, opinion?

Probably just a bit too much timing for the amount of boost is all...

Ok so its not knocking like i thought it was, im happy here are some screens of Knocksum and AFR using MAPTracer,

Ive also attached the Log too, note i did 6 back to back pulls this being the last, so this being the worst case scenario

The log looks pretty good, did it always knock at that same rpm & load point? If so, then maybe drop 1 degree of timing. Also, the car is running much richer than it needs to. Shoot for 11.5 at peak torque tapering to about 11.1 at redline.

Yeh i know the car is running richer then it should be, and nah the 2 logs before that the runs where clean with 0 knock all the way through, and my first log had 2 counts up top so no the knock isnt always there its random and not much anyway.

I really need to get the car on a dyno to sort the AFR's correctly, but where i live in AUS 4WD dynos, there is prob 1 within an hours drive

why do you need a dyno to sort the AFR's? Just do 3rd gear pulls?

The reason i want a dyno is because i think its going to take some time to sort the fuel map completely and i dont really like doing repeat 3rd gear pulls on the road, the road i go to is a long straight road, its an access road for the power station so i dont want people calling the cops while im there for more then half an hour

Looks pretty good to me. Other than the slight righness and the 2 count. Have you tried pulling 1* timing? I would also lean it out a tad and see how that helps.

On your timing map, trace the logs and see the timing transitions, not just the amounts. Looks like it might be jumping from 8 to 11 advance under load. Cell to Cell transitions of 3 degrees or more can also cause knock.
