Do I have a bad tactrix cable

I went out to flash a rom I was playing with and about half way through it ecuflash(1.42.2595) threw an error I believe it was a readback mismatch error, but my computer was forced to reboot for updates before I posted this so I don't have the full log. Also I am running windows 7 64-bit on a dell e6510.

Anyways, the only other time I've ever had trouble flashing my rom was with a low battery, so I thought maybe the voltage had dropped too much. Got some jumper cables and got the voltage back up, and was still getting the same error. After the first time I tried to flash it and got the readback mismatch error the car wouldn't start, probably because it was missing half of it's rom. So I was sort of stuck. I kept trying again and again and eventually got a complete flash. But this seemed rather lucky.

I can log through evoscan just fine, but I'm worried about trying to flash my rom again. Anybody have any ideas or experience with this before?

TIA!
