Cannot connect to vehicle interface!! Searched but no one has a fix!
Have a windows XP machine, everything up to date. I have an Open Port 1.3U cable. Worked previously on a different car. Won't work anymore and have tried two different cars!. Tried all kinds of different version of ECUflash, all do the same thing. Car is on a battery charger so low voltage is not the issue.
This is the error:

Either you have the wrong cable for the version of Ecuflash you're using, or if it is the right cable for version, try starting the car before you flash it. Sometimes mine wont connect unless the car is running first.

From what I understand the OpenPort 1.3U cable works wth the newest Evoflash software. I let a local borrow the cable and it worked on his car just fine. I don't see what's causing it not to work?

Did you try a different cable? Like I stated earlier it's the exact same problem I had and it ended up being the cable. For some it wouldn't work on my car, would only work with EvoScan. Chances are you have an older cable that only works with the older versions of ECU Flash. After I upgraded to a new version it stopped working, I tried to go back to an older version, it still wouldn't work. I bought the 2.0 cable and it works fine now.

I had the exact same problem, it ended bring the baud rate. Have you tried everything we've suggested? You need to outline what you've tried that is new and the result so we know. If you are just going to say "I can do xx but not yy" over and over it isn't going to help us help you.
Based on what you just said I'm leaning even more towards logging speed now since it worked on another car.
