EcuFlash 1.43.3172 crashes with V7
Hey guys,
Have a curly one here that has to be affecting others.
Just installed latest Ecuflash version and now any Tephra V7 rom's crash the program.
The V5.10 rom I currently use and have been editing the XML is fine, but not V7.
Googled around and found some stuff on LancerRegister and Geekmapped about it, they said to remove the line:
Did so and still no change.
Anyone come up with a fix?
Cheers.

i found with the v7 rom if you remove the line
<table name="== EDIT THE TABLES BELOW FOR LOAD OR PSI BOOST TARGETING ==" category="Global Boost Control 'TYPE' (Choose LOAD or PSI Targeted Boost Control)" address="0" type="1D"/>
then they work not sure why as the xml looks correct but it must be the way its being interpreted

has a similar problem when i upgraded ecuflash to the latest version.
does it crash instantly or will it stay open if you leave it alone?
mine would stay open if i left it alone but when i would start to scroll down the tables it would crash. figured out it kept crashing at the same spot every time. so i looked at the last table that would show before the crash and went to that area in the base xml. the table below the last visible table had a space missing in the scaling which caused the crash.
check out the thread i started about ecu flash crashing. hope that helps

Nope soon as I open any V7 rom it dies, I remove the 96530706 XML and then try and open the rom it gives the 'no XML' error. So I think it's an issue with the XML.
Drift: already did that as I said.
Might have to roll back to 1.42

Close EcuFlash
Open up your xml in note pad or notepad++
Then hit CTRL+F (to search for text)
Then in the search box enter "EDIT THE TABLES BELOW" and click search
Then you will see the line that says (<table name="== EDIT THE TABLES BELOW FOR LOAD OR PSI BOOST TARGETING ==" category="Global Boost Control 'TYPE' (Choose LOAD or PSI Targeted Boost Control)" address="0" type="1D"/> )
From there highlight and delete that entry
Then save the file
Re-open ecuflash and it should work

Lol....
Drift: As I said twice already, i've deleted that line prior to posting here, does nothing.
Soon as I open the rom, ECUflash closes.
Dont' get a chance to look or scroll through anything.
I can take a vid of it happening to prove to you if you like?

have you added anything extra? to it, as it's more than likely its a missing scaling, i've attached mine that does work,
but i've noticed you've changed the name of the file too, which is ok for the 96530706 roms but if you try and open the 96531706, 96532706 or 96533706 roms it will crash as their xmls point to the original name of TephraMOD-96530706-v7.xml to include, which I guess where your problem is.
Keep the original name of the file
